Werner had champions league and international experience and that worked out well.

I’d say premier league experience would be a much bigger pull than.a 50mil gamble from the Dutch league
Werner hasn't worked but I also don't think Tuchel uses him properly either. Antony is not a gamble for Ten Haag as he knows the player inside out and will know if he can go up another level. What I would say is that I am interested to see how many Ajax players he tries to bring over, they have some good players but I'm not sure they are all up to playing in the PL.

Considering Ten Haag hasn't managed a single game in England I wouldn't say that mate.

Personally think the bald ponce will fall flat on his face in the big bhoys league.

You can't say that and in the next breath ask for 75m for Richarlison imo

Well I can because I’d be fully aware that the buying club would be overpaying for Richarlison. In a world where Solanke goes for 20 mill, and a lad with one good season in the Portuguese league is going for 80 mill, then Richarlison is not going for a small fee, regardless of whether people think he’s worth it or not.

The Neymar fee at the time warped the market, then Barcelona compounded it by buying Coutinho and Dembele at ridiculous prices. It’s just got worse since then.

Ok well acknowledging that it is absurd makes it fine haha

He doesn't need to have managed any games to know if a player has the ability to go the top level does he. Its the same with any young talent, the manager watches these players day in day out and can see their abilities and how good they are. For what its worth I don't think much will change will change with Utd, they will just continue to plod along, too many issues there. We will see.

Well I mean there’s an opportunity to reset every window in terms of the market. City have paid a reasonable fee for Haaland, Bayern are trying to pay a reasonable fee for Mane, but if Liverpool pay that amount of money for Nunez then in Merson’s words they’ll be the ones who have ‘destroyed the transfer window’. If Newcastle were doing it everyone would be up in arms at a gross use of money. If that fee goes through then all bets are off in terms of the Richarlison sale, just as they were for all the transfers that followed Neymar’s sale.

Of course it’s a gamble anybody coming to the
Prem from to the Dutch league is. So
On that basis Van de beek
Will shine now under ten hag?

Antony will probably do ok because he’s a good player, but will he play to the level of his potential 50mil fee, that’s the question

Honestly, not even because it's Liverpool, these sort of clips are like catnip for me. The purposeful intent to use the correct technique and then just casually completely messing it up. Those two back to back starting at 1:50 are incredible.
Seen a Portuguese journalist a few week ago says he’s never worth the fee being talked
About,
Yes had a good goal scoring record in week league and is big and quite fast.

It was more his technique he questioned,
Poor movement,
Touch, hold up play, awareness. And last season in Europe he gave away every other pass he played

Teams are realizing that reasonable fees can get a lot of good players. Players at the same time are realizing that release clauses that aren't absurd can get them where they want easier.
