2021/22 Richarlison

We are not in financial trouble. It’s rubbish. We just can’t spend much due to ffp.

I am not talking about balance sheets. I am saying that the club need money to spend to rebuild several positions that we are now short in after the departures of five or six players and maybe another 3 or 4 still to happen.

To sign those players, we need to sell at least one asset to fund that rebuild. Only Richarlison and maybe Pickford command a big enough fee to do that. Because we are looking to spend the money quickly, we will be asking that Spurs pay most or all of the fee up front and very little in add ons. Many deals are structured in this way, so us needing to ask for more up front (so that we have flexibility on other deals from this one) weakens our negotiating position.

Market rate mate.

Every season standards are set , this year it'll be what Liverpool are paying for a one season wonder thats never kicked a ball in the Prem.

Dont forget we broke the transfer window according to Merson.
Other transfers rocketed after Neymar to PSG.
You new to this mate ?

Nunez is not a barometer for Richarlison.

Maybe I am new to this, I guess we will see when the figure for Richarlison is announced.

United won’t bid. If Ten Hag goes for a wide player it will be Antony. Plus they have Rashford (who they rejected a bid from Spurs for last week), Sancho and Elanga in the wide positions already. Plus Martial coming back and who knows what will happen with Greenwood. They are overstocked for wide forwards.

They'll scout the market. Richarlison will have plenty of suitors.

As for United...Greenwood and Martial are done there. Rashford could possibly go if it's true they've put a price on him. So going into next season with Sancho and Elanga is a bit weak for them.

Also we're forgetting a lot of clubs will see him as a false 9 too.

One thing I do think is that the bubble may have burst on super inflated transfers (£100 mill plus) especially as the trend of players running contacts down to move on a free for a signing on fee gathers pace. Didn’t City wait for Haaland’s release clause to become active rather than paying £100 million plus last summer? The player happy to wait so he could inflate his salary.

Player power is increasing and they are looking to ensure more of the money from transfers goes into their own pockets rather than the clubs.

Rashford won't go. Martial has a big contract and will get a chance under Ten Hag. Greenwood, I don't know. I would be very, very surprised if United showed an interest.

We just need to be clever. Mina & Allan could fetch 20 mill and a big saving on wages. Not saying that will happen but it’s one scenario. We might be busy in the loan market or getting players on a free for increased wages similar to tarkowski

£51m is an abuse. Absolutely ridiculous fee for our best player.

If there is no money due to ffp. We sign freebies and loan players with Moise Kean money. Brain fart to sell him at such a low price.

It's Twitter. Fools errand to use anyone on there as an example of humanity, as it's the worse version of every demographic on display.
True enough on twitter, any club that gets him their fanbase will love him once he starts playing for them

Nunez has no pedigree in a top league like the PL. There's no way Richarlison has a lower value.

He's 3 years younger, playing champions league football, and scored 26 goals.

Richarlison is 25 who's just finished in a relegation scrap, for a team with money woes, and wants to leave

He's price won't be about ability.
