2021/22 Richarlison

They'll scout the market. Richarlison will have plenty of suitors.

As for United...Greenwood and Martial are done there. Rashford could possibly go if it's true they've put a price on him. So going into next season with Sancho and Elanga is a bit weak for them.

Also we're forgetting a lot of clubs will see him as a false 9 too.
False no 9 is a really intelligent position to play. For all of his ability I’m not sure he has the attributes for that specific role

If we dont get good value it is due to our own failings. There is no way Nunez has a higher market value. He has only played about 50 games

48 goals in 85 games across two seasons at Benfica. He did well in Spain for Almeria before that too. 3 years younger and he's had good experience in the Champions League too, it counts for a lot when you think about a players value. I am not sure how much he goes for in £ but Richarlison is a completely different situation. He is a lot older, we need to sell, I believe he is pushing to leave. All of these things make a difference.

Spurs is notorious for low ball offer and I’m surprise so many folks here are happy to go along with 50m without a fight.

Excellent fishing by Spurs to try and unsettle an Everton player.....not Richarlison they're after but Tom Davies. Expect incoming bid of 50m

tbf why wouldn't Richarlison want to go to Spurs? CL togger playing up top with Son and Kane and the Juve player whose name i can't spell and Perisic. Some decent options.

In reality 50m is about right but when you look at the rs signing Nunez for 68m then we really should be looking for around 80m. We'll be skint, desperate to sell and I reckon we'll end up taking 50m + 25m on add ons if Spurs win 10 CL trophies on the spin

I am not talking about balance sheets. I am saying that the club need money to spend to rebuild several positions that we are now short in after the departures of five or six players and maybe another 3 or 4 still to happen.

To sign those players, we need to sell at least one asset to fund that rebuild. Only Richarlison and maybe Pickford command a big enough fee to do that. Because we are looking to spend the money quickly, we will be asking that Spurs pay most or all of the fee up front and very little in add ons. Many deals are structured in this way, so us needing to ask for more up front (so that we have flexibility on other deals from this one) weakens our negotiating position.

Except fir the fact it doesn't matter if the fee is paid all up front or over the length of contract in terms of what it means for our ability to spend FPP wise.

I am not happy to go along without a fight. I am not at the negotiation table. If I was I would demand more. Spurs fans would argue for less.

I am only saying that I think £50m to £60m will be the end price based on all of the factors, the most important ones being that we need to sell, Richarlison wants to leave and there are not too many clubs interested in Richy at that sort of figure.

Nunez is not a barometer for Richarlison.

Maybe I am new to this, I guess we will see when the figure for Richarlison is announced.
Ok lets cut to the chase .

Richy is your star player approaching his peak years ,that you are wanting to see his best years in your team & build your team around .
You have seen him score 43 goals in 4 seasons from a wide position and nurtured him to be a 1st choice in the worlds best international team.

If the time is right & it suits all parties , do you sell for not much more than you paid 4 yrs ago for very little return.
You look around what 51mil can buy you.

So how much do you sell for ?

Praying for Carlo then.

The Hull City lad and Cornet. Everton that.

In a functional side, when he's playing as a striker for Brazil he basically does the same as Jesus for City...allows the wide players to get behind him.

He's not perfect for it...but if you're looking for a fluid front 3...he'd be top on a lot of clubs lists.

Comments get better though.
So many of their fans...dont want him. He dives.
Harry kane when anyone even touches him and hits the deck.
Spurs fans..what happened? I was looking the other way.

I sell for what I can get. And what I can get is £50-£60m.

If I demand more, I don't sell. No team is interested at more than that figure.

If I don't sell, there is a chance that my team is in another relegation battle next season as we won't have the funds to add to the squad that almost went down last season.

The sum is greater than it's parts. If selling Richarlison allows us to get three or four players at around £20m each, our squad as a whole is improved and we will have a better chance to compete next season.
