2021/22 Richarlison

He scored 11 goals this season in the CL & EL. I’m not even getting into this debate. He’s a better player.
At a few months shy of 25 at this stage in his career he's really not better than Richy.
Last year he had a standout season in a good side but in the previous two seasons he returned 7 in 40 and 5 in 44.. in a league which has been highlighted as easier for an attacker compared with PL or even La Liga (Werner/Haller/Pulisic/Sancho/Gnabry/Jovic/Klaasen)
He might become better than Richy if he develops further but id keep our lad over him every day of the week, nevermind pay double for the fella.

What’s Rashford got to do with anything? You haven’t ever seen Nkunku play so not sure why you’ve even got an opinion here on their values.
I’m just saying scoring goals in the europa league is like saying richarlison got goals this season in he league cup and fa cup. You come up against weak opposition.

Didn’t Andros Townsend score 7 goals for us and only 2 in the league the rest in the cups v lower league opposition

Hattrick vs City, goals against PSG, against the infamous Atalanta. He didn’t score against a Crawley Town.

Lucas Moura doesn’t improve our squad at all though. He is an absolutely bang average winger who scores 2 goals a season, he isn’t even an upgrade on Anthony Gordon.

He's spent a lot of time as a sub, rather than starting games. Different player to Richarlison, but he's far more of a rounded player than I think people give him credit for.

This is from Squawka for last season in the league
(per 90 as he played 1772 mins in the league, which is around 750 less than Richy, and 500 less than Gordon)

Well he is.

Hence the likes of Real Madrid, PSG etc. are sniffing around and the only team seriously looking at a “cut-price” Richarlison are the mighty Spurs.

Is Richarlison really a first choice starter for Brazil ? Most of the games he starts for them are when they have weakened squads such as at the Olympics etc.

Be surprised if he’s starting for them at the World Cup
He seems to start a lot he’s got 36 caps. I don’t think they have a top class striker. Neymar tends to play all over the front 3, obviously you have Vinicius and Jesus who also play more wide than through the middle. And Antony and Raphina are also wingers. Id say richarlison would probably play as their number 9 at the World Cup

Yes you’re picking out the top teams who else did he score against?
And you can’t change stats. No international goals for France in 6 games and same goals per game as richarlison in the league. And he’s only 5 months younger.

The same Real that spunked big on Jovic?
Nkunku is flavour of the month and yes a big team will likely snap him up to stop another from signing him, but it will be on potential at this stage.

Doesn’t score goals. And is 30 at the start of next season, you’d really worry his heart would be in it coming to a bottom half prem team.
Definitely a big no for me

That’s because they signed Kulusevski in January. He’s been a first teamer for them for years and had one decent season.

He is but this just goes to show that stats are daft. Richarlison is obviously a better player than Moura but the stats will tell you otherwise.

He does, but I never particularly know what that means. What's your threshold? He scored a couple in the PL this season gone, and 3 in the season before (Where he played even less - 1400 or so - mins across the whole season). Bearing in mind I feel like you're comparing him to Richy, who scored 10 this season gone, and 7 before. As I repeat, he isn't the same player nor mooted as a replacement, but Richy isn't hitting Lukaku numbers either.

The idea isn't that he is a direct replacement or comparative player to Richarlison, but rather the notion that he's somehow not getting in or improving the side in a different position. Same with Bergwijn really - there's some useful players there who just aren't getting in ahead of Son/Kane in terms of the line up, or getting the ball.
