Like clockwork....

Now its done..."Why do they even want him to sit on the bench"

Do these people even know football !?!

How about not spunking £500m on crap players and totally mismanaging FFP.

When in trouble I often ask my self what would Everton do?

I then do the exact opposite because Everton is a disaster zone run by idiots.
Richarlison transfer is an attempt to fight today's fire, things can only get better with our new American owners...can't they??

Would have hoped for another £5m+ on the fee, but we had little to no leverage. Richarlison will be missed as the engine of our team, regardless of the goal output. I wish him well, he gave us 100% every time out and played for the badge.

Also, if FFP is of as great a concern as the urgent timing of the deal would suggest (this despite repeated assurances from the club that FFP is not an issue), I would not expect to have £50m to spend on new players. My guess is we bring in a Richarlison replacement for £20-25m, and the rest of the fee is simply applied to offset debt.

Watford signed him for like £11m, he played 30 odd games, scored 5 goals and sold him for £50m as 21 year old - a player who had a woeful second half of his debut Prem season.

Everton sign him for £50m, develop him into a full international - remove any doubt about the lads ability and sell him for £50m (then deduct Watford/Richarlison fees) and £10m add ons.

This Everton board...

I expected him to leave, but to a bigger club than Spurs and for a little more money.

Concerned about the clubs ability to replace him - Thelwell and Lampard have so little credentials in recruitment.

5 seasons averaging 10 goals a season.

For this reason, there remains significant doubt about Richy's ability as a starter for a top 4 club.

That is why no established top four clubs or big European teams were seriously interested at anything close to £50m (other than Spurs).

He will go and do well there, but I do not expect him to kick on and become a real top player. He may even be more of a bench player as he is nowhere near as good as Son, Kane or Kulusevski.

Champions League or mid table?(and I am being very optimistic). Not a hard choice is it?

It's not Richarlisons fault we're a mess.
I didn't say it was.

What I am saying is don't think about it too much. Any of them would be off as soon as any half decent interest is shown in them.

If reports are to be believed, the potential new owners already have a record of financial mismanagement.

You couldn’t make it up!

Rubbish, it doesnt work like that at all.

Liverpool's entire from 4/5 where all doeing the same if not less than Richarlison was with us, and look how they have stepped up.

Good players are good players, and ones that work hard are even better.
