It does. It's a matter of respect. If he is under contract to us, it should only be released when the transfer is official. I realise not everyone will care, but I think it's a symptom of how little respect there is for Everton these days when you can publish photos of their players in your shirt before their fans have officially been informed of his departure. This lack of respect isn't just coming from outside the club, by the way.

But the deal was not official until today. If this is a real photo "taken more than 20 minutes before they are published" - and before he was a Tottenham Hostpur player - why was it made available on Wednesday?

Because the photo isn't real... just like this photo of Pogba from June 23rd is not real.

Not only have we lost the very tangible quality of his footballing ability and a player who, per his most recent season, is a 1 goal involvement every 2 games kind of footballer.

We've lost the lightning rod for Goodisons emotion. He mirrored how each one of us felt but out there on the pitch. His attitude and personality is the most aligned with what I associated as an "Everton type" player in the recent past. That's the intangible that doesn't really have a monetary value and is really hard to replace. Personally I think the intangible side has a natural successor, step forward young Tony Gordon.

All I know is it's a pic that Romano posted on Twitter a couple of days ago before his medical in Brazil even took place. If an actual photoshoot was done then why didn't Spurs release any of these official photos when he was announced this morning?

….the point is more about the £100m benchmark for Grealish and what Richarlison’s worth is in comparison. Personally, I have never been a Grealish admirer, I don’t think he’s as effective as Richarlison. i certainly don’t think his value is almost twice as much.

It really comes down to whether you think a player who relentlessly gets the ball from not in the box to into the box matters even if the end product is sometimes shaky.
