Jagielka is well able to play right back and got international caps in that position.Holgate did a great job earlier in the season. Hopefully he gets the nod and we don't try shoehorn Jagielka there.
Jagielka is well able to play right back and got international caps in that position.
However, it will most likely be Holgate or Kenny....unless Barry ?
Any other fixture and i could see him getting the nod. Doubt very much he'll get thrown in against the next 2 though.Willing to let Kenny have a go against the RS
But niether are anywhere near the level of Coleman, and in brownings case the prem.Ty can play RB, pretty sure Galloway can too
One thing that we can all accept is that the one thing Jags' doesn't have in his locker is pace.
A fine reader of the game, happy to track runners from deep, keep a reasonable line, make a block....all features of his play, but to ask him to play full back in the Derby? Or any other game....he don't deserve that. Playing Oviedo as a make shift right back was horrible enough.
I can see us going three at the back, Williams, Jags and Mori with Baines and either Holgate or fitness permitting McCarthy filling the other side.
Despite his lack of first team experience , I'd be happy with Kenny slotting in if required. But please, let's forget the option of Jags.
