Wrong place, wrong time.

Nobody is saying the Police are Saints, I dislike them a lot, but they have my support against whats happening at the moment.

Finally, a little lateral movement. If it comes out that the bloke last thursday didnt fire a gun will you lead the protest calling for the sacking of the entire Met?

I've been on this forum since 2007 and that is the singularly stupidest comment anyone has ever posted on here.

I leave it for you to work out why, but I get the feeling it may take the rest of your natural life.

Careful, mentalism and squashedness is what happens if you disagree with the establishment.

No that was when this H&E fool tried to justify the unjustifiable.

Pure violence. Pure gratuitous violence. And those involved in, arson, criminal damage and burglary.

London has been it's own entity for as long as I can remember, they can look after themselves.

When the riot happens....Hibbo scores.

I wasn't suggesting the abolition of the police. just a non-politicised force that went back to the radicals of the peel principles of policing and didn't treat the communities that they are meant to be protecting with contempt, violence and thuggery.

In other words...what if the bad man that comes for you is wearing a policemans uniform.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Sir Robert Peel's Nine Points of policing

  • The basic mission for which the police exist is to prevent crime and disorder.
  • The ability of the police to perform their duties is dependent upon public approval of police actions.
  • Police must secure the willing co-operation of the public in voluntary observance of the law to be able to secure and maintain the respect of the public.
  • The degree of co-operation of the public that can be secured diminishes proportionately to the necessity of the use of physical force.
  • Police seek and preserve public favour not by catering to public opinion but by constantly demonstrating absolute impartial service to the law.
  • Police use physical force to the extent necessary to secure observance of the law or to restore order only when the exercise of persuasion, advice and warning is found to be insufficient.
  • Police, at all times, should maintain a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence.
  • Police should always direct their action strictly towards their functions and never appear to usurp the powers of the judiciary.
  • The test of police efficiency is the absence of crime and disorder, not the visible evidence of police action in dealing with it.
  • i agree with you with most of that.

So what toxic mutation are they now then?

If you actually knew the early reputation of the Peelers you wouldn't be making stupid comments like that.

The only ones that treat people with contempt violence and thuggery are the criminals.

Exactly, and they are wearing uniforms and acting like the scum they are with your approval. Congratulations.
