I can be openly racist and then not apologise if you prefer.

Obviously it would be better if I didn't say anything offensive but once I did apologising seems the best thing to do.

For the record, that sentence was never intended to be anything other than bitterly sarcastic, it just came without context which is why it didn't read that way.
 
Remember when you could tell someone they where wrong and they'd take it on board instead of being perversely proud of the attention?
