Sincerely, you're a good & determined poster, but I'm genuinely not sure as to whether there's an element of you being deliberately flippant about some points made now. I'm not wholly getting how you've stated numerously that you're 'on the fence' when - it seems via the content of your scribbles at least - that you're very PRO RM (which is fine of course) based on, well, the very fact you seem to discount a lot of other folks arguments by defending him hugely and at almost every opportunity. It's like a kind of footballing variation of PASCAL's WAGER as you'll oft then go on to add that you expect him to be slung next season?

1-- Quite clearly Baines putting himself in a position where he has been misquoted could lead to discliplinary action in anoter job. Hes lucky that his manager has actually supported him here and not dropped him pending an investigation which is standard practice elsewhere.

well ignoring the fact you though Baines interview deserved disciplinary action and ignore the view that you deemed it straight away as a reason we should sell him this summer, you actually are deluded if you think what Martinez did in his interview was 'defend' him, he threw him under the bus and everyone can see that mate (If you'd like - i can link you easily a host of respected opinions stating that he has done just that with that press conference), but i will play your game - why di you not criticise Martinez for how he handled Lukaku? In any other job a employee effectively talking about how he hopes to move 'company' and touting themselves for opposing companies to headhunt them openly and in the press - well lets just say they would face disciplinary action and likely the sack with immediate effect? So do you think Martinez handled it poorly and do you now think like with Baines we should offload him in the summer?


As for the last bit, their is a bit of a difference between living in Russia and commenting on the teams games i have supported for over 35 years, plus mentioning games i see on TV over here, and having apparently seen every touted young player play enough to have a very firm opinion on them such as you do mate, you may well watch a lot of football and tune in to see the likes of Anderlecht, Benfica, Porto, Liege and numerous German, Spanish, Dutch, French, Italian, Belgium, Portugeuse teams - but call me a cynic but i actually think you haven't seen some of these players you have touted for us to sign besides a youtube montage showing their goals/skills/assists for 14/15 etc and the fact they turn out good on a video game and have had articles written on jarg sites which compile lists of the top 20 teenageers in world football etc, which is fair enough as the itnernet and footbally forums are full of people who make themselves out to have a lot more knowledge of players around the world than they actually do

On another note though - you've gone on about martinez needing to bring in players to suit his system and think you had about 5-6 players listed who you regard as good buys, what then are the other 16-17 players to you, you plainly think they aren't good enough - so have they been mistakes, or has Martinez lowered his own expectations and brought in players who aren't good enough and who can't fit his system for some other reason?

Sacking is a form of being disciplined in a job mate, fact you want him disciplined and then as soon as possible sold in the summer - effectively means you would sack him if it wouldn't cost the club a fee they could recieve, fair enough though as even before all this you have been chopming at the bit to get rid of Baines

BTW always meant to ask you but you have a very strong opinion on keeping a manager rather than replacing him and one reason is due to their strong youth policy etc - which i could debate the accuracy of but won't right now, and at the same time you are banging the drum for us to sign a host of very talented and established 18-22 year old players, how do you think that would actually effect the chances of any young local academy player everb being able to get in the team when we are buying in players with a lot more experience already and who are only 1-3 years older than they are. Or do you actually not care at all about the academy and having a strong local presence in the first team and squad?
