You see I agree with that. He has to go now, but he won't.
Maybe not quite yet, but stranger things have happened. The Baines situation has put him on wafer-thin ice.

If anyone read a transcript of mine and your recent posts to each other they'd think we were off our heads, in the space on a hour you've gone from defending someone who wanted us to not win the cup to guarentee he was a gonna to say he shouldn't be gone just yet.Maybe not quite yet, but stranger things have happened. Well this sums up some of the sheer nonsense we are hearing. Fans have spent a season suggesting the problem is results don't match performance. But it seems we go to Anfield and despite all the tension that brings and the sheer one off uncertainty that defines a derby, we want the players to know that a good performance won't matter without a result and a result won't matter unless it's deserved and without luck. Ignoring the fact that we are owed a whole chunk of luck against them.
Liverpool at Anfield. Should be fierce. Should be all about pride. And some of you are going there to judge your own team.
Don't say it much but... embarrassing

Martinez's excuses annoy me so much. It's not me, it's the europa league/fa cup/referees/injuries/anything that deflects attention from himself
I'm usually just responding to quite varied attempts to dismiss what I've said as nonsense. If it sounds flippant it's because it does become difficult to repeat why you think something again and again. Especially when you find the angle suddenly gets changed to one that's almost the opposite of what someone else has said to attack the manager. It also may sound flippant because other people may be more heated about the situation. Which is fair enough. Although I've learnt not to mistake anger for passion. They aren't always the same thing. That's not a personal comment towards yourself by the way. More just that because I am repeating things calmly doesn't mean I don't care more than some others who seem to be habitually angry.
I've stated where I stand on Martinez and it may just seem totally pro when compared to some arguments that seem to believe everything is down to him.
That's a big warning sign to me about whether a decision on the manager is being made with a clear head.
If you want a discussion on his pros and cons I've engaged with that when asked. But to be clear again. I like the fact that he's lookin for a more progressive style of play. I like the kind of player he's looking to bring in. I like that there's focus on players being bought in to fit in a few years down the line.
I don't think he's gone about how he's introduced players into the first team in a very pragmatic way. I don't think he's worked enough on a plan b or effective setpieces. I don't think he communicates his intentions very well to the fans.
Ultimately I think what is happening in terms of the squad is providing promise that wasn't there under Moyes but I'm not convinced he has a wide enough range of man management skills to make the most of the squad he'll end up with.
So no confusing opinion. Just one that isn't dominant on here for now. Do you really think we need another voice finding fault with everything he does.
As far as Baines goes, I love the lad and if I thought he'd been genuinely put down then I'd be defensive of him. But it's a genuine opinion that if I'd had my words used in a way that could have potentially disrupted my work then it is only the people who did that I'd take issue with.
My feelings are there is little or no rift and all we'll see is the player a lot less likely to talk to the press. And that's their fault. Everything they've done since reeks of defensive guilt.
And if people believed in the player then they should maybe consider whether they are right about who it is exactly whose put him in this situation rather than automatically use him as a way of attacking the manager. As I keep hearing there is enough ammunition already.
Okay well let me get clearly off the fence on this one.Rubbish. You know what's nonsense thats being happy in 12th position. What I want, being an Everton fan that wants success, is to play them off the park in way not seen for some time.
Your arse must be hurting on that fence. Don't know how you do it.
Anyway thought you were going away for a while. Wind up merchant.
Sorry mate. If he didn't mean it and was just trying to exaggerate his stance, then fair enough. But if he genuinely meant that he would sacrifice a Cup win to get Martinez out a potential 6 months earlier then I disagree. He's a Divi.
It's barely a division now. It's a cake walk from our POV, which ultimately for us all its a shame as our form has been Kieron....think he got a bit carried away didn't he, probably done a little wee in the hall as well. I don't agree with him like but I get where he was coming from...
This Bobsy Martino chappie hasn't half created a division of opinion eh...
I'm dreading tomorrow.
Okay well let me get clearly off the fence on this one.
A win at Anfield. A cup win. Even a semi final win. Anyone there will remember it for life.
Anyone who is even debating their merits is letting down fans who may only get a handful of those days in their life. These games are not about you or your personal duel with anyone on here or your dispute with the manager. They are not about what you personally consider right for our future.
If you turn up with anything else than determination to be a part of something special for the club you support and the fans who deserve it then you are part of the problem in my eyes.
