As an example this is for 2014/15, the Merit Payment is the column you want.

If he's still the manager on Saturday, there will be a lot of fans giving the game a miss, myself included. I wont be going until he's gone, and wont be renewing my season ticket if he somehow manages to keep his job.

I think the club might get a shock when they see the season ticket renewal figures!

Man Utd sacked Moyes with 4 games of the season still to go, gave Giggs the caretaker job although he was never likely to get the full gig. And he won all 4 games! No reason why we can't let Big Dunc and Unsie takes the reins for the rest of the season, backed up by some fatherly advice from Joe Royle and re-build the broken relationship with the fans. Then spend the first part of the summer getting the right man for the job.

The most frustrating thing is if this had been done a week ago we might be looking forward to an FA Cup final now!

Still be here come the Bournmouth game, play a few kids, and we are not going to be booing him with kids in the side, are we ?

Wanna bet ?

It's gonna be uncomfortable for him anyway but if we go 1-0 down it will be a blood bath.

I think the messages given will be directed at him and not the kids so I still think he will get booed, in fact if he just gets booed then he can count him self lucky

Don't disagree at all - put that in the next post.

Could be nearly a £6m downswing on it if we fall far enough.

For me, I just find that paying Martinez £2m if it is avoidable is abhorrent
I get it, but no point cutting our nose off to spite our face. Just can't see us maintaining our league position if he stays, it's going to cost us more than 2 million.

A 30goal striker that netted at wembley and was still performing well?
One place difference would pay him off, yes it should have been earlier, but could make a difference still.
Not convinced by the decline in value of players now linked to final league position - is a 25 goal a season striker worth less for where his team finishes? Doesn't really reflect his scoring ability. But do agree that lower places = less TV money. But for me you are gambling the pay off against MAINTAINING the current league position as there is limited chance of improving it. Plus, again, giving avoidable money to Martinez

Mate if you have a scroll through my posts on this thread and the Moshiri thread you'll see that it is not Bill's decision, the Board will do as Moshiri demands. Martinez does not feature in Moshiri's vision of the future at Everton. The only remaining issue is timing, be it hours, days or end of season, no-one outside the club knows or has had an indication of his thinking on this subject.

Logically it should be now as there's no footballing reason for him to remain.
Esk, as you say, no one outside the club knows which way he is thinking. Even within the club I expect there isn't half a dozen people who know this either. I am not doubting your bona fides, but can you be so sure your information is sound.
I agree with you that unless there is some contractual arrangement then it would be better to let the manager go now and start the search immediately.
At least the new manager would then have time to look at the squad in the next month and be able to make plans over the summer.

It must be spending half of their history in the lower leagues that did it, people are so stupid, an opinion like that counts for nothing because it's plain stupid.

Makes me laugh all this stuff. Forest Villa and Celtic are bigger than us because of their history apparently, but yet City Chelsea and Spurs are bigger than us because of their current state. We must be the only big club that is neither recognised for their history or for current state.

I know zero about any of this, but could there be a scenario where not alerting the world's media that you're looking for a new manager may be of benefit? As soon as Martinez goes the press will be all over any club movement. What if they tip off another club who then pounces? Like I said I've got no clue but I can imagine thatthere's probably a dark dirty aide to getting new managers same as there is with players and striking with early with the element of surprise could be beneficial if we're after a big fish.
