Christ.

Or, just maybe mate, it proves that Kenwright sees the bigger picture than the stamp-my-feet-I-want-success-now brigade.

The chairman can see day to day what he is doing behind the scenes. Surely he is far better to judge who should be under pressure or not.

Really? His track record suggests otherwise. There would be no Martinez had Moyes not left on his own accord. Lets not forget Kenwright labelled Moyes "the greatest manager in the world" and wanted him to stay on for 10 more yrs! No ambition, no pressure.

So please, spare me the "surely he is far better to judge who should be under pressure or not" - He's not.

Martinez out is debatable. Martinez under pressure is not.

The new owner doesn't look even remotely uncomfortable eh? Not an expert on body language but 'awkward' is probably appropriate.

Further confirms that just like Moyes, Martinez is under zero pressure whilst BK is around. Fortunately it's only a matter of time until Kenwright is gone.

Welcome Mr Moshiri.
“We have a great manager,” said Kenwright. "He is an extraordinary man and extraordinary manager”

BK still runs the football club for at least the remainder of Martinez's current contract (health issues permitting).

It's a deabte (such as it was) that has to be put to bed now.

Two SFs of a cup and no doubt a midtable/top half finish and the matter is settled pretty much already.

I am looking forward to seeing what Niasse is like when he settles in and gets game time. Martinez has signed some great players
I hope we go on a winning streak until end of season

@chazzle_dazzle

He was talking about how getting gubbed in the last 12 minutes by the Hammers, was something that we can learn from and take strength from when we're in that position again....errrmmm

He also said that the 2 cup runs showed that we've developed a winning mentality in the knockout competitions, which was honed by our European performances last season.

They tried to pin him down re: transfer targets for the summer, and he made a reference to shopping and how you always want the higher price tag items, but often you can't afford them, and intimated that he's now going to have a better choice available to him.

He talked about having one of the most gifted groups of young players in Europe and how we now watns to add to it.

I/we wanted Martinez and the team to defend better, attack the ball, row z if and when, up the intensity, stick at it 98+mins and they pretty much did...for 1 game... you can guess the rest, the what if we did that for every game scenario.

some say; you're only as good as your last game...what it should be is...you're only as good as your NEXT game...and the next and the next etc.

Over to you Roberto; earn your stay of execution one game at a time.
