@davek, the reason for bringing this quote to your attention is that 12 months ago you conceded "there won't be any hiding place for him" if he did exactly what he has done throughout this season.

However consistently in this thread you have called everyone who brought Martinez under the very scrutiny you yourself anticipated if he performed as he has.

If it was acceptable 12 months ago to expect scrutiny and criticism based on performance criteria not met, what has changed to make it (and the consequences, ie the calling for a change of manager) unacceptable now?

The implication of your quote was clear, yet 12 months on your stance has changed and you berate those that hold the view you expressed.

I know you are a dedicated blue and usually very consistent in your stance. What's changed here?

Shots fired, direct hit.

He's a busted flush now. Teams need to attack and take three points to compete at the business end of leagues, he can only set up not to concede and scab points.
Bobby, your days are numbered kid. Spruce up that CV, get chatting to Graham Hunter, get him to put a good word for you at Valencia.

When your number 1. Fan says this sort of stuff your day ARE NUMBERED.

It will be the incentive for future Everton managers to reach and surpass. How that is 'nothing' I dont know.

Moyes qualifying for CL means more than Martinez getting 72 points, same as Moyes failed to match previous managers winning anything. A record points total means zilch in reality. same as BK being part of the most unsuccessful board in history, he won't be remembered for that though.

Actually, the next manager will probably have a similar task to Moyes when he eventually takes over in however many years, pick up the pieces from the previous regime and rebuild
Ha Ha Ha Ha....if he came in next season the only task he'd have is to polish some silverware up and keep the same players.

You really are hanging all your credibility on us winning the FA Cup aren't you. Best of luck with it. For once I actually hope you're correct

Another win in the cup and I think we see all talk of RM off the table, tbh...then again, if we win the SF it'll be hard not to see us as winners...so we may as well go on and win it too!
