We have lost two games in a row against teams who, quite simply, are better than us. It's a bit unreasonable to slate Martinez given this reality. The next 10 games will give us a better 'sighter'. For the record, I like Martinez the person and think he is a fine front man for EFC...but I remain sceptical regarding his real football nous. I genuinely hope my reservations are misplaced...we shall see.

Can't really blame Martinez for today. With a 'keeper who wasn't playing support striker for the other team we'd have probably got a point today.

He was just badly let down by one member of his squad selection. He should respond by dropping the waster indefinitely.

Agreed. And I'd ditch the two defensive mids cleverley in the middle at the expense of barry or McCarthy and two wingers.

...out of 12 games this season (ie including COC), we have only taken a 1-0 lead, twice.

I'm just saying, I think he's miles better than Galloway.

Shame he got injured or he'd probably be showing it for Fulham now.

Hope he's our long-term left back.

I'd get Oviedo in at left back while Baines is out.

Well I certainly wasn't happy with the cowardly United performance. City, think we got beat fair and square, today we we're a bit unlucky. I think we should just be realistic to the squads current standing, bags of potential but miles off top four. What I'm more interested in is if martinez can't solve the glaring problems tactical and selection wise now the injuries are clearing up and fixtures more favourable.
