Agree. As a massive All Black fan, I watch their squad hardly affected at all by injury ...their strength and conditioning work is unparalleled. Everton could learn a bit from them.on our day we can beat a top 4 side, but i think we lack the consistency and the depth of squad unfortunately for a sustained top 4 push.
Key injuries are always a problem (looks at the season so far) and the consistency should improve as the younger lads grow into the game a bit more, but without serious money we're never going to have the strength in depth.
We just need to get lucky with injuries at the moment over a long period. If I were Bobby I'd be spending a relatively small amount on upgrading the Medical Knowledge at FF, that way we keep players more injury free and get them back quicker.

I don't think our team's as good as people make out. Or our manager sometimes. Either the gap's closed between 5th-12th, or we've gotten worse as a club. I think it's the former.
Can't blame injuries as every team gets them, the manager has to take a share of the blame for 3 factors:
1) the need for a playmaker and Goalkeeper signings in the summer which neither came in, instead came in a spurs cast off with little end product.
2) continuing to play players who are under performing (Howard, Naismith, McCarthy?)
3) playing too defensive and showing sides respect, I say this as we have 2 holding midfielders in the side yet still play only 1 wide player with the other being more defensive minded (Naismith, Lennon) whilst flair players like Mirallas have been sat on the bench.
Watching the likes of West Ham, Palace and Leicester play with no fear and pace is disheartening when we have the better players. It's sheer frustration with this current side, I could accept the dark days of Walker and Smith when we were genuinely poor but their is much potential in this side but like has been said earlier something looks missing. Hopefully these next 9 games we kick on as top 4 is up for grabs with Chelsea being poor but only West Ham are doing that at present and are 7 points ahead of us.
We beat Norwich on Tuesday. Win 3 out of next 4 league games. Sorted.
We got beat by a tidy United side, at a bad time, and we got beat Arsenal away.
No need to panic.
Personally,It's precarious though. This run of fixtures is going to define our season I think.
Get the results we need and stay in the hunt for the top 6, or slip down to 13/14th and waste another year. Just hope the manager approaches these 'easier' games with a fresh approach.
Personally,
Couldn't give a rats about the league this year. Fourth bottom, not bothered.
I Want a cup. We Need a cup.
Who'ss sshhouting for Koeman ?The Koeman shouts baffle me. We beat them 3-0 at their own ground ffs. Without Baines.
Tried to type in Dutch there.Who'ss sshhouting for Koeman ?
The key is these Sunderland and Villa games for me. If we see a line up of Cleverley, Barry and McCarthy then Martinez is shafting the team.
There's a case to be made for playing defensively in games like today but when you play against any of those bottom 7 sides they have hardly any attention of coming out of their half. There's absolutely no excuse for not playing with one holding player and getting as many players on the pitch that can break down a stubborn defence.
