Roberto Martinez discussion

Anyway, anger will abate in an hour or so ('anger' at an away draw FFS) and the facts will still be there:

7th in the table
Unbeaten in 5 games (15 goals scored)
Good cup run up and running
A squad of the most exciting players in the PL and only getting better

It's all good. ;)

Best squad since the 80's...... that will finish no higher than 7th, and will have you describing it as progress.

Realistically, we're in with a shout of a Europa League spot based on our league position, so dropping two points today doesn't help that, but if we're going to cock things up, I'd rather we did it in League games and saved our boss performances for the Cup games.
I'd rather miss the EL out and go for a CL spot and the two domestic cups each season.

The EL is a shimmering city in the far distance that turns out to be a mirage. It's way too long and way too energy sapping. You basically have to have a CL type squad or be Seville to win it!

We've taken 8 of the 12 points from them on offer so far.

Lol.

Ok. I have to say I am just disappointed by todays dreadful result.

Not having a direct stick at the manager btw. I was saying it might not be as easy as we thought to get points against these lesser teams.

Every squad we've had since the 80s is always described as the best one since the 80s.

It's a young squad that sometimes plays with naive abandon. As Wooly said earlier: you take the rough with the smooth of it until they get experience.

We're on the right path headed in the right direction. It's all good.
