Why do people literally refuse to believe what the facts say?

Martinez has no idea about buying, organizing or setting up a defence, he's told you what he is for almost a decade in English football and people still refuse to believe it and think he's magically going to turn it around.

You are what you are, he's never going to change, the old excuse from the Martinez defenders about it was Wigans inferior players is going out the window now isn't it? It's him.

Making a team difficult to beat should be the most basic thing for even the most limited manager yet he can't do it, how many cheap goals do his teams give away that we never used to?

There is - get a new man in, get his feet under the table and a clean run at the summer window with the Lukaku/Stones money to rebuild.

The guy is a lame duck. No pragmatism in his mentality whatsoever; we'll never improve.

Right now, it's been 18 months of underachievement. If it stays this way until the summer then I agree there's good reason for him to go.

I'm inclined to agree. Sacking a manager at this stage could do far more harm than good and it's not as if we're in Chelsea's position.

However, he's had three years to sort it out and our defence is getting worse and worse, even with the "best prospect in the world" John Stones. Is it Mori? It was just as bad with Jagielka playing so we can't blame the Argentine. No, the defence is playing according to Martinez's instructions. That, and Howard needs to go. Now.

I don't believe I've once ever fully thought Martinez should be gone, but I'm damn close now.
 
Easy to say after that, but we will never be a winning side with his naive attitude to football. Can talk all he wants about desire, attitude and Phenomenal nonsense. The truth is he is a spoofer who has a no desire to improve us defensively.

He won't be sacked so get used to more of the same. 3-3 Bournemouth 3-4 Stoke. That tells you all you need to know.

Can't wait for him to come out and praise what a phenomenal game that was for the neutral.

If he knew how to fix the defence he would have done it by now, I know he's not going to be sacked but I definitely won't be gutted when he does go.
 
We don't sack managers, so the cries to get him sacked won't make any difference. The media love him, there's never any noise about his job being on the line. We are massively under achieving though, having a striker with 14 premier league goals and only winning 6 games is unbelievable, we can't defend, and have the worst keeper in the league by miles, Howard may ultimately lose Martinez his job, it's beyond belief that he still plays him.

I've joined the Martinez out brigade over the last month or so, the problem is we're not improving, we're just floating about between 7th and 10th, it's never a surprise when we lose or draw when we should win, we're a mid table team now, we win some and lose some, it's not good enough and I'm sick of it.
