Anyone who says we have 5 "world class" players in this team has a very distorted view of either the term or our squad. There are maybe MAYBE two and no more and even one is a big stretch in my opinion.

when people say any team in the world I think they forget about Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and maybe a couple more.
At this moment in time only John Stones has any chance of playing for the above 3, after that Lukaku would be the closest the remaining 3 I don't think personally they would get close.....all great players but not at the above level.

While true, we started with 2 wingers today.

I meant that we dont have a LW to compare to our 3 main attacking players. Kone is dreadful, clev is more of a utility player and Mirallas who knows what will happen to him. Yarmolenko or similar is needed and a keeper....then add a couple of quality squad players and see how far this team can go.

@ijjysmith if naismith is sold and a couple of others off on loan or permanent i think martinez will make another signing.His mantra is to come out of windows stronger and i think he will want to add before the upheaval in summer.

The best teams don't let 2-0 leads slip away from home.

The best teams can mix their play and adapt to a particular in game situation.

The best teams know the importance of setpieces and practice them accordingly.

The best teams get all the 'luck' and aren't always on the wrong end of it.

We scored off a set piece today and for the past couple of games have actually looked like we've practiced defending them as well.

Early days but do genuinely believe that aspect is at least being worked upon.
