Roberto Martinez discussion

I understand the frustration, but "El Coco" doesn't tell two of his most experienced players to play like toddlers when we're holding a two goal lead. He doesn't control the flight of the ball from a deflection. He doesn't not raise that offside flag. Previously game management has been a concern for me but it wasn't today. We were robbed pure and simple.

Being a goal to the good against Man City in the semi-final of the League Cup, getting through the 3rd round of the FA Cup and away draws against City and Chelsea is improvement from last year.
There is no doubt that we are under achieving but we are so close, a keeper who has the confidence of the defenders might just be enough to get us over the line, as the return of McCarthy might be.
The next 4 or 5 games could be the making of our season.
Forever hopeful.

Terry was offside
Moyes never won a thing
We have young players
We might get to a cup final
We did well 1 season
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

60 games played 18 wins 22 draws 20 lost

Is that acceptable given the talent in the squad?

Only needs a yes or no.
60 games. Lol. Take it back to the first season if your dealing in historical data mate.

Look mate, we get a diabolical decision off a bent ref and are denied three points....then we have a load of old tosh on here about it being martinez's fault!

Forgive me for calling that knee jerk tripe, but I reckon that assessment is bang on the money.

A load of fickle buggers who'd have been over the moon had that corrupt divvy ref done his job and whistled time at the right moment.
That would be the same bad refereeing that gave us a point at the Etihad and a win at Goodison in the league cup

i said about an hour ago they'd get top 4 mate, have they peaked - probably so, are any of the teams from 5th down capable of the type of title winning form it would take to overhaul the point gap - no chance on earth
No chance on earth? If United win tomorrow they're 7 points off them. 16 games to go .

Not exactly mission impossible like is it?

I think a wise move at least would be to wait and see a) who United buy this month and b ) who Leicester possibly lose.

This is a marathon not a sprint, and I don't expect Leicester to be 4th over the line.

I didn't think of that dave.

Good point.
No mate. Because were all supposed to be in sackcloth and ashes over scoring 6 against Chelsea this season and taking 4 points off them....it's martinez's fault we didn't get all 6, btw, because he obviously ran on the pitch and scored an OG in the last minute...and it was offside too!!!!

I can't get over how far terry was offside and the officials did nothing

One thing I can blame Martinez for though is freezing out Mirallas for most of the season and insisting on playing Kone when all he has done is be a big problem to our shape and attacking build up play.

Mirallas did things today Kone could never do, lets hope Martinez gives him a run now.
