1 He gets what Everton F.C. are all about
2 He has a wealth of experience and is a born winner
3 He is no shrinking violet and would make a great captain in the middle of the park
4 If Roberto was not doing his job Rooney would be the first to say so
5 He is still a bloody good footballer and would share his experience with our younger players

What annoys me is that he's so stubborn, he's determined to not listen to fans on Howard, determined to have an open defence, determined to never shut up shop.

Mate what are you expecting, we are Everton not a Barcelona or a Man Utd Type machine.
We have had glimpses of greatness but in the main we have had many dour times and years of underachievement
If you want silverware as you thin we deserve it, you will have to look elsewhere as Everton will not deliver this on a consistent basis

Well, it's one of only two they can realistically win, so very highly. It also gets European football. The EL is a nuisance, but players......

People have suddenly started talking as though it's on a par with the FA Cup or Europa League in terms of prestige.

I suspect that will soon change if things don't go our way at the Emptihad, though.
