Roberto Martinez discussion

This reminds me of when we got through our first 10 games and I thought we could win the league!! We then preceded to make an unholy mess of things, so excuse me if I don't count any chickens for the next week or two.

RAY PARLOUR's good fun isn't he.

'Sell JOHN STONES & LUKAKU for that sort of money then buy a new stadium...that could be going forward for EVERTON...'

OK.

Well played Ray. Ya big mad tit.

“Having stability at a football club is always helpful. In the modern game we’re inclined to chop and change but I think stability is needed.”

From RM's press conference.

True that.

Why make such ridiculous comparisons? The 04/05 team had finished 17th the year before and had absolutely no business being anywhere near the top 4.

We all know Martinez had a fantastic first season. The question is now rightly being asked whether this was down to the ground work Moyes had put in prior to his arrival.

Why indeed?

Should we close the thread down?

Next league games:

Swansea H 3pts
Newcastle H 3pts
Stoke A 1pt
West Brom H 3pts
Liverpool A 1pt
Villa A 3pts
West Ham H 3pts
Sunderland A 3pts

8 games i think 20pts. Do that and we are back in the mix.

No way will we win all those home games, I'm sorry not a chance. We'll manage to mess up somewhere. I remember people predicting 9 points from the Palace, Leicester and Stoke home games before New Year. We ended up with 1 point from them

which means in no uncertain terms, "Tim Howard in goal, end of story lad"
