Naismith should have been on the bench today and Barkley behind the striker. Barkley was wasted on the wing and Naismith didn't have a good game to justify it. Unfortunately Martinez got it wrong today.

How many times have we said that though mate this season. 10 games in and theirs been atleast 3-4 games were we have said "martinez got it wrong"
It's a worry especially with how bob on he was last season

I agree mate. Martinez has had a slow start to the season as well as some of the players. It's whether he learns from his mistakes where as Moyes didn't. I have confidence in him though, I think he showed enough last season to prove that he's a talented manager.

He's not getting his substitutions right this season.
Not so sure it would have helped tbh, Barkley struggled a lot in games like this year where the team gave us the ball and parked the bus - Aston Villa at home for instance.
He is really at his best when he can pick up the near our box and run into theirs but Swansea hardly got out their own half for long stretches.

Disagree on today's subs, I thought they were spot on.
Naismith had a quiet game and though McGeady looked lively in the first half putting Pienaar on made a lot of sense. Before he made the subs I said to the lads next to me it was crying out for Lukaku and Pienaar to replace Naismith and McGeady. In so much that we didn't score, it didn't work, but that doesn't mean it was wrong.
Would have taken Barkley and Naismith off and kept McGeady on with Eto'o as the number 10. Not sure it would have worked mind, we aren't great at breaking down teams.
Was a problem Chelsea had last year - do you think they would be open to a loan of Fabregas?

it used to be us with 10 behind the ball.
At the moment Lukaku aint cutting it as a centre forward also clearly carrying some injury Etoo & Naismith have justified being in front of him.
But hey lets play Osman there instead !
When they are fully fit I expect to see Pienaar Barkley Mirallas (in those positions) behind Lukaku/Etoo.You know and I know once Ross is match fit he will be the drivng force in the centre.
As it stands tho we played very well today , we were missing a goal thats all.
