Naismith should have been on the bench today and Barkley behind the striker. Barkley was wasted on the wing and Naismith didn't have a good game to justify it. Unfortunately Martinez got it wrong today.

I agree mate. Martinez has had a slow start to the season as well as some of the players. It's whether he learns from his mistakes where as Moyes didn't. I have confidence in him though, I think he showed enough last season to prove that he's a talented manager. How many times have we said that though mate this season. 10 games in and theirs been atleast 3-4 games were we have said "martinez got it wrong"
It's a worry especially with how bob on he was last season
Not so sure it would have helped tbh, Barkley struggled a lot in games like this year where the team gave us the ball and parked the bus - Aston Villa at home for instance.Naismith should have been on the bench today and Barkley behind the striker. Barkley was wasted on the wing and Naismith didn't have a good game to justify it. Unfortunately Martinez got it wrong today.
LOL!
Lad Moyes would have walked dat game today with Davey Nugent leading the line, none of this Samuel Et000 fella.
Disagree on today's subs, I thought they were spot on.He's not getting his substitutions right this season.
Would have taken Barkley and Naismith off and kept McGeady on with Eto'o as the number 10. Not sure it would have worked mind, we aren't great at breaking down teams.Disagree on today's subs, I thought they were spot on.
Naismith had a quiet game and though McGeady looked lively in the first half putting Pienaar on made a lot of sense. Before he made the subs I said to the lads next to me it was crying out for Lukaku and Pienaar to replace Naismith and McGeady. In so much that we didn't score, it didn't work, but that doesn't mean it was wrong.
Swa
Swansea may have parked the bus but we have to then change things to break them down, martinez seems to just close his eyes and hope for the best.
We are missing kev but there should be a winger ready to fill in for him, mcgeady is not good enough and atsu is not ready.
If you pay 28 million pound for a striker play him and not as a right winger.
We have a world class midfielder in barkley what is he doing on the left wing.
Martinez has no idea how to play rom and naismith and yet he is moving things round to accomodate naismith.
I realise martinez is well loved on here and seems a nice man but he is not managing our great club well at the moment.
One home win all season so far in the league with the squad he has got is very poor indeed.
