Not really sure you have to be optimistic to believe we'll beat a team we've played twice - beat them and drew with them (when another win was robbed from us), and put 6 past them.
Big chance to settle scores with them, not only over the last minute cheating equaliser this season but also the last two major cup games against them when they beat us in the LC SF and the FAC final.
90 minutes winner takes all match - The Entertainers v The Evil Empire.
Bring it on.
I read it as straight up and it was great to hear some of those songs again (School of Science etc). The supporters were celebrating a victory that got us into our second QF this season. This forum is either lagging behind the fan-base or is adopting a vanguardist position and pre-emptively fumingMakes me laugh, slated on here but then an out burst of Roberto had a dream or Allez Allez Oh from the stands.
Or even Bobby give us a dance.
Not sure if fume or sarcasm...

Another disgruntled example of being disappointed were in the last 8..I dream of the day Everton are held in the same regard as '97 Middlesbrough
"The Chelsea of now". Is that supposed to make us quake in our boots? It's the same defence that conceded 3 in our match, whilst our defence is much better than the one they faced.Acting like the Chelsea of now are the same as the Chelsea whom we beat and drew with.
Ace.
Sadly even a cup win won't convince many on here - much better for them to wallow in defeat..keep going through your not alone.
Yeah I'm gutted. All for being excited about a cup run while it's happening but celebrating them as an achievement without winning anything is more pathetic than our "Magnificent 7th" DVD.Another disgruntled example of being disappointed were in the last 8..

They've had one decent result since they drew with us: the win against Arsenal. In the rest of them they knocked over a load of tosh like MK Dons, Newcastle and Man City's Academy XI. The only other decent team they've played apart from Arsenal they were lucky to get away with a 2-1 defeat.
90 minute shoot out in the cup against a team like ours - they wont fancy that.

Meanwhile we have been beaten by the likes of West Brom and Swansea, in fact since we beat Chelsea we have only had one league win that has been a real good result, away at Stoke, all the other wins have been against relegation rubbish, for the next 5 months we didn't beat anyone outside the bottom 3 in the league at home, the only draw that would of been better for them would be Reading or Watford.

Those songs were coming from the bournemouth fans on Saturday, along with west brom they appear to have found a discarded everton songbook circa 2013/14 and copied it verbatim.I read it as straight up and it was great to hear some of those songs again (School of Science etc).
