Two options here. Either he wanted the draw, in which case he got his tactics spot on. However to not go for a win at home is inexcusable.

Alternatively he wanted the win, but totally bottled it risking it for all of 5 minutes.

He should not have had to do it if he set to win the game in the first place, the RS were there for the taking.

Martinez can't win. He needed to get the players confidence and defend better over the last few weeks, barkley been stinking the place out. We needed to defend well today as the rs have won their last 6 premiership games on the run. Too many attacking players and we could have lost. We will get more attacking over the next few games. Confidence is growing, we can defend again and our best players are back and robbles is looking good. Must be the only one who pleased tonight
