I have never read or heard anyone praising Martinez before he got linked to us..

i was constantly :) he has more honours than moyes at a much younger age operating with much less money with much smaller clubs. He also transformed everything about swansea and now look at how they are perceieved and how quickly it has happened. Hoping the same will be the case for us.

just watching Bobby talk about the substitution of Scott Sinclair. He was excited that Steve Clarke put that kid on to add attacking threat even though it was a massive gamble rather than going steady. I've loving Bobby's approach to football

yep noticed that too. not sure he got his subs right vs fulham, but apart from that, they've all been positive and correct. i sincerely doubt he'll take moyes' approach of "the big four are better than us so why bother going there trying to win, may as well get a great achievement like a draw", ignoring the fact that teams like swansea, villa, norwich, hull etc. i could go on and on with the poor teams that have gone to these places and won in the time moyes hasn't bothered.

i doubt martinez will still be looking at 0 in the win column after 50 odd games like moyes.

His subs were fine vs Fulham, he just made them 10 mins too late!

yeah you're probably right about that. ah well, it will hopefully be heitinga's last game for the club, i see nothing wrong with giving some squad players game time, the last thing you want is them to be rusty when they're asked to make an impression as a sub every now and then.

Came across very well. Which doesn't surprise me as even before he joined us he was very astute with his comments. What can't be denied is the obvious pleasure he has in managing us. When he spoke about everton, you could see not only the pride but his excitement as well. He has mentioned this week about the special atmosphere at everton. Lets hope the place is rocking tomorrow night!

A) He set himself up for failure by following the best manager in the history of world football
B) He is not going to be successful for a good few years
C) He's been around but is not a winner
D) Their squad is old and unbalanced. Refer to B

Not really arsed about having another debate about David Moyes tbh.

Villa and Liverpool going for him reflected footballing circles recognition of him - I've been banging on about him since his Swansea days but forums work on flavour of the month and peer pressure - remember the Pereira bandwagon?? he has no experience of english football never even worked in this country but someone made a case based on internet stats and he was God!!!

Considered thought makes up 2% of content on forums.
