...I hope it is, but I'm just pointing out that it might not be a done deal and Bill might have a little twist in this story of his.

I'd resigned myself to martinez and glad to change gear after moyes, convinced myself if might turn out ok. Just find that statement from bill odd if martinez is a given.. unless maybe trying to reduce whelans compo claim/weaken robbies negotiating postion or possibly create the illusion bill is "scouring the globe" for the right man? Maybe ive answered my own question...

Martinez is clearly the front runner,But if Bill is the cheapskate many on here would have you believe then the cheaper option will be Pereira,no compensation and lower wages than Martinez will command.
Vitor it is then ?

Pereira and (scarily) lennon are shortening across the piece

...this is interesting. I checked earlier and Periera was available @ 16-1. I'm very happy with Martinez but I wouldn't be surprised if Bill's 'instinct' takes us elsewhere. I had a few bob on Bilic @ 40-1 on Monday night amid positive reports coming out of Russia and he is now 66s. Not long to wait now I hope.

As opposed to the magical 6th or 7th placed trophy under Moyes ?

Much of a muchness if we can actually win something under Martinez.
NO it is't much of a muchness at all!! I don't know about you, but I go to the games and I like to see Everton win on a Saturday afternoon. Finishing 6th or 7th rather than mid table more often than not means over the season we've won more games. So those that are saying it makes little difference can do one. It makes a BIG difference to me.

It makes a BIG difference to me.

If we finish below 7th next season, I will say it is a failure.
