In retrospect, putting RM's pic on the side of Goodison smacked (more than a little) of hubris. Best it be quietly taken down. I still rate RM very highly, but he is not currently an Everton legend...reserve that space for those who are.
wonder how much it'd cost to bribe the company in to putting a picture of Rodgers photoshopped next to a tranny up. Let's have a whip-round and get it sorted.

I remember Roberto talking about how he had pictures of Everton legends hung up around Finch Farm to remind the players of what it means to play for the club. One would think someone with that mentality would have preferred to have a picture of the holy trinity, rather than a picture of his own face, shown on the side of Goodison from the beginning.
And also, as others have said, it did put an enormous amount of pressure on us. Obviously saying this is a horrible start is an understatement, but at the same time we've already played Arsenal and Chelsea, and played at Old Trafford and Anfield in our opening 7 fixtures, we were never going to get a whole lot out of those games.
Assuming this is reactive, would they have taken it down if we were on 9 points at this stage (which would still be a pretty poor start).
