Rodwell's Off

Rodwell is being given the number 4 shirt so I've been told - they've pulled the 26 Rodwell kit to stop fans buying it: it's to ultimately stop complaints from people who would have bought his shirt with his old number on to later find he's changed his number.

This is gonna be a Big Season for Rodders, be interesting to see how he fairs up and if he can stay clear of injuries.

***POSITIVE SPIN ALERT***
If Jack can stay clear of injuries AND play to his potential that we've seen glimpses of, then it'll be like having a new player at the club. I'd be sorry to see him leave but if it meant that by selling him we could see 2/3 new faces in positions that we know we're ****e then its a no brainer!

Sell to buy as a positive

Think Stoop was trying to say that we could benefit whether Rodders stays or goes as opposed to 'sell to buy' angle hence the positive spin !, but am happy to be shot down in flames if I'm wrong or out of order !

Reads like real spin to me:

existing player staying is like signing a new player - not similar at all
selling young home grown prospect is a win situation - only for this board

Well. At least he still exists.
Sadly enough, so does Anichebe.

Considering how much he's stagnated last year (compared to the ridiculous hype of last summer), i wouldn't consider it a good deal, moneywise, to sell him now. Let him bloom and show off a bit first, prove that we need him in the team and that he has all of this potential.

Also, studies show that making felli sign a new contract would be just like a new signing.
