Lukaku is a bright lad he probably realises a couple more years in blue won't harm his chances of joining a bigger club to much and gets paid mega wonga at the same time as well as been the face of the team

How does that contradict what he is saying today? He said he was close to signing, now he's saying he is signing. What's the problem?

Perhaps look at it from this perspective. The story 2 months ago was alluding to him signing the contract very very soon, then it didn't happen. So now the story comes out again about him signing a new contract, will he sign it this time? Or will it play out again before the end of the season?

Make no mistake until he signs the contract officially then all of this could be play in public, his agent wants a top team to get in touch with him about signing Lukaku and the putting off of getting the contract signed will be designed to give enough time before the agent has to settle on selling him at the agreed release clause which will be present. This might make his job more difficult which is why he doesn't want to rush into signing.

I really hope he signs but just because he signs a new contract doesn't mean he will be staying next year.

That would still be good for us though because the longer his contract, the more money we would get for him if he did decide he wanted to leave.

If we get to keep Rom until summer 2018 I will be so happy. Any longer and I will be unbelievably happy because it'll mean that we've started to achieve something!

As for the not running thing. He conserves energy for bursts for speed to actually score goals.

So frankly if he wants to get a deck chair and sit in that in the top end of the field until he gets up to score. Fine by me

To be fair to Rom and all his chatting wham!
He has stayed here much longer than i or most of us have expected him too.
Loan for a year, then it was no chance of signing him! He signed
2 years of terrible martinez football, could of upped roots by then! He stayed
Anything any longer than that and i would say h is well withing his right to move as he has given us a good fair crack of the whip!
This season is his 4th season and lets say he stays next year and we dont win anything/ qualify for champions league. We cant say he didn't give us the opportunity
