I think it's scary the potential that this guy has.

I've been thinking this for a while now but the more he keeps scoring the more certain I become that I think he's the best we've had since Dixie.

Also seeing how lack of regular minutes affected Bony who has a similar frame might have been instructive as well.

People forget that the season he came on loan to us was the season before the 2014 world cup. He sits on the bench for a year at Chelsea, he doesn't get on the pitch for Belgium in Brazil, simple as. All of this nonsense about him not having the heart or desire to stay and fight for his place is just that, nonsense. Fella wanted to play in the WC and for that he needed regular playing time.
 

Breaking the top 6 is the next step. 6th next year would show considerable progress.

If you consistently make that top 6 year after year you can expect to make the top 4 at some point because every club in that top 6 currently demands CL football and probably will get it within the next few years.

6th next year would probably see Lukaku leave though.

Realistically we have to have a squad and a mentality to rub shoulders with Chelsea and City. That is ignoring the established Man U and Arsenal and current danger Spurs and of course Big Stand FC.
The last 2 have the same amount of SKY TV league titles as us.

But with the right summer purchases why not. We have to aim for 1st place next season. If we fall short and finish top 3 then so be it.

6th would be the same as this season tbh. Unless we bag a trophy or 2 that is, and even then that might not be enough for Rom. (Unless the cup in question was the Europa league).
 

We need another player like Rom - a Lacazette, a Belotti, an Icardi. Every top team has more than 1 main goalscoring threat - Hazard and Costa, Sturridge and Suarez, Alli and Kane etc. if we can get a player like that then we can begin to really go for the top 4.

Him having a proper partner would really take him to the world-class level.

I am sure I heard "I don't know who this Jim White character thinks he is, but I'm not signing anything until after the stadium announcement on March 14...as announced by ITKs on GOT ".
