Oh here he is. The worst football pundit of all time. The Oviedo game we got smashed for 90minutes, hit them once on the counter and scored a lucky goal.
But hey, lets pretend we went toe to toe.
lollollol
Oh here he is. The worst football pundit of all time.
Take a look at the stats from that game against the then English champions and come back and tell me we "got smashed" for 90 minutes.
We lack pace in the midfield when KM started the game it was fleetingly there - Lookman, Delboy just now cast aside - look at other top teams the attack so faster than us - Lukaku would suit this in his game as he cannot trap a bag of cent - but the ball passed quickly with faster support he would be an even bigger danger also with a midfield playmaker
Moyes and United were out of luck as both Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck hit the woodwork - but nothing should take away the significance of this victory for Martinez and his players.
Everton followed the Spaniard's instructions to the letter, with captain Phil Jagielka and midfielder James McCarthy outstanding.
United, after a hesitant start, worked their way into the game and keeper Tim Howard twice came to Everton's rescue with good blocks from Rooney and Shinji Kagawa
And as pressure mounted on the Everton goal Ryan Giggs glanced a header just wide from Rafael's cross and Rooney was desperately unlucky to see a shot deflected off the post via Jagielka and Sylvain Distin, allowing Howard to clear with his feet.
The biggest escape of the night came at the other end almost immediately as Howard first saved brilliantly from Patrice Evra and Welbeck could only hit the bar with a header on the stretch from the rebound.
It was well contested but we edged it and we shook off that monkey from our backs. That was the main thing....now it's right back on again.

We weren't "smashed" mate, nor did we go toe to toe for 90 minutes either
We defended when needed, and got lucky when Rooney hit the cross bar, but we also didn't just sit back for the 90 minutes and also had a proper go at winning
Basically, we did what we did on Tuesday, only we scored earlier
It was the 'perfect game plan'...they hit the bar twice, scored a perfectly good goal, and scored an equaliser.
I'd hate to see what you consider an imperfect plan.
We scored and then sat off and waited for the inevitable to happen when you do that.
Poor management. The only time we've won at OT for decades was when we took it to them toe to toe till the last minute.
Fortune favours the brave...not cowards who orders his team back.
well why let Delboy go when he was crocked????Somebody like Bolasie you mean?
well why let Delboy go when he was crocked????
He has pace and sends in great crosses so when did Bollassie ever do that?Cos hes not a team player.
I take your point but at the same time, it's easy to see why Ross Barkley or anyone else in the team wouldn't be arsed to waste their effort to push up to support him because they know fine well he won't be arsed to pass.
People say imagine him at Real Madrid etc but he has similr struggles playing for Belgium and has DeBruyne, Hazard, Carrasco and Mertens behind him - thats up there with any midfield in terms of creativity.
What did the Romans ever do for us, eh?He has pace and sends in great crosses so when did Bollassie ever do that?
