Been thinking about this (sorry if I'm repeating anything here) and I'm sure Everton did but, Lukaku signed a contract so does that mean that a promise can be treated as 'water tight' as a contract? Surely it's a two way street?

I'd say a promise is about 99.9% as valid as a contract. Well, in Raiola math that is.

I personally think Lukaku will be outstanding in a team he has chances on a plate for, he is not a overall top technical striker but in a team like chelsea one goal v WBA Watford Boro is just as vital as a win at united.
