Romelu Lukaku

Aubamayang is off to PSG and as if Real Madrid are interested.

Its Chelsea or Man U and I personally think Raiola will be pushing him towards Man U where he basically runs the show and makes all his £££. He already has Pogba, Ibra & Mkhitaryan there.

Rashford and Martial in exchange....then Fat Mino has a deal

Hopefully we can sell him quick so then we can sign players instead of waiting until end of the window to be sold so board can use excuse we ran out of time so we can conveniently not spend all the money

That's the whole thing...if Lukaku goes somewhere else, that club is surely going to have a talent that is getting blocked. We've suddenly got a ton of money to replace him. That being said, the incremental difference between Martial and Lukaku is not $100M. So no club would be nuts enough to hold on to both.

The other question is, which of those big clubs wants Rom more than cheaper options that already probably have better reps? Morata isn't going to cost $100M. MBappe isn't close to $100M, either. Griezmann isn't a pure goal scorer, but is he going to be $100M? He'll be expense, but he's probably more highly regarded than Rom. Alexi Sanchez could be available. As could Costa, Aguero, although likely not. Belotti is out there, as is Ibrah.

There aren't that many big time clubs that are ALWAYS in the CL that also have the money to sign Rom. He may just find out - as he likely is now - that his best chance for consistent minutes and European football is at Everton. Maybe not, but Everton still has no reason to sell this summer unless they are blown away with a huge number. And I'm sure we wouldn't promise him he could move unless we got that number.

There is strong possibility that Rom's weekly wage cost might be lower than any new players bought. Therefore I do not expect him to move till 1 min before deadline on window close day...Everton that.

..I also think the player fits there given the chances United create and miss.

Hopefully if we do come to an agreement with a club they allow us to do our business first. That way we don't shoot ourselves in the foot regarding negotiations for signings. Not just with the clubs but agents, players, etc.

‘Everton made Lukaku promise’

Been thinking about this (sorry if I'm repeating anything here) and I'm sure Everton did but, Lukaku signed a contract so does that mean that a promise can be treated as 'water tight' as a contract? Surely it's a two way street?

The only way we will get a United player is if Jose dosent want them at all, for me that rules out the ones we would like and just leaves Rooney.

I know we want some CBs but I hope the club don't say 'We wanted VVD but he went to City so we had to get smalling and jones.'
