Sorry, the middle of August, my mistake, greased lightning. I want us to do well, I don't understand why we have to wait until August to do our incoming business, we are clearly selling Rom, we are probably selling Ross and Geri, we have already sold Cleverley and will likely shift three or four others. How many players will that leave us for the qualifiers? It's a good job we did well in the u23s last year because a lot of them are going to have to step up for our qualifiers.

Me neither. I don't understand "the business" at all because I've never acted as an employee/owner of a club tasked to complete a signing. Bearing that in mind I'll not simply demand for my preference that this business happens on my timescale.

You are of course entitled to keep protesting to others on here about that though.

It's not "the business" it's the way Everton do business. Various clubs have announced signings and we seem to be able to sell players early in the window. We have known that we need at least two strikers for ages, why can't they be done before mid-August? Other clubs manage it. Maybe we will this year, I sincerely hope we do.
