Yeah our failure in the transfer window was who we didn't buy rather than who we did. Vermaalen and Koulibaly and we'd be top half without a doubt, possibly challenging for top 4.

Even Gibson and Maguire would've helped.

Exactly. It's why I said after the game the most important thing about the result was the clean sheet.

We are a middle of the table goal scoring side but entering the game we were dead last in goals allowed. One clean sheet and we've moved two places from bottom.

If Sam can make us harder to beat...harder to score on, we've got enough goals in the team to move up the table.
