Romelu Lukaku

Let's be honest we would all have him back in a heartbeat.
I'd have him back yesterday.

What impresses me most about Rom is how pumped up for every game he seems to be. If we had showed ambition, instead of signing Swansea cast offs, he would still be here and banging them in.

What's absolutely staggering is some argued selling him was in the long term interests of the club. Not because of the fee, but because he wasn't good enough.

With Lukaku as their first choice striker, United are 2nd, in the knockout stages of the champions league and likely to make the semis of the FA Cup.

Dont remember the saga of him going painted in that way. My memory is of a talented player simply agitating for a move to a CL side. With hindsight, it was all obviously tied up months before he went.

He had his detractors, and he has at Old Trafford, but "not good enough" I struggle to recall.

I should add it certainly wasn't many.

Do you really believe that he would still be here or are you just point scoring?

no he wouldn't, he wanted to play CL football and thats the top and bottom of it. everton were a mere stepping stone in his career. taunting the fans after he scored at OT wasn't very clever either.
