Romelu Lukaku

If we sign a world class striker I'll agree with you... but he's the best striker we've had at the club since the 80's and 18 months after leaving we have nowhere near replaced him in the CF position.

Hopefully we can do but I massively doubt we'll be doing that anytime soon hence our sensible fans appreciating what a loss he has been up front.

Not an elite player no, but a bloody good striker for a club without CL football and I would be massively more confident on monday playing Watford with Lukaku and Richarlison spearheading our forward line instead of Tosun or DCL.

He's not the best mate. Not by a stretch.

Stick 17 year old Wayne Rooney, 2009 Louis Saha, Yak, in the Martinez side we nearly got 4th and you would see the difference. He benefited from playing for us at the best time.

Richarlison.... a goal every 159 minutes. That includes his games as a left winger.

But you can't really mention Richarlson in the same breath as Lukaku just because he's got a better goal to minutes ratio up to now since being with us, Lukaku played 141 prem games for us (including his loan period) and scored 68 goals, not far off a goal every 2 games. Richarlson isn't going to get close to those stats IMO.

Richarlison doesn't park his arse on the shoulder of the last man or wait in the box for a pass so he won't get the Same number of gimmes as Rom. Essentially relying on his teammates to provide for him in the build up with non of it down to him.

Look at the goals Richie has scored for us.... lukaku would/could score few of them. The goal against Norwich, the ones against BHA.... he gives us so much.

He didn't have his best game against Liverpool but he offered us so much more than What lukaku did in those ganes. And he's not even a recognised striker.

Lukaku is a striker (and it is up to a strikers teammates to create the chances for said striker) and he did what a striker is meant to do, score goals. I don't care if my striker stands there scratching his arse all game as long as he's banging them in, at the end of the day that's what he is paid to do, and Lukaku did it for fun.

He scratched his arse for fun too right. Rather than just looking at how many goals he averaged why not look at when and who he scored again st to get a real view of this player you think so highly of.....

He only scored when games were stretched... when the other teams had to come at us. Invariably lesser teams. The fact he scored 25 goals and without them they theoretically made no difference to our league position says it all.

I see Tony Bellow wants Lukaku back.

Would take Rom back everyday of the week, people say he scores against the bottom sides well there the games you have to win.

Kopites beat all the top 6 last season but slipped up against the other sides which cost them. They are now only scraping draws with the top sides but beating the other 14 sides and are top of the league.

Add Rom in our side and we are about 6-8 points better off this season imo.

Come home Rom.

I think Lukaku would be an asset in this team on the pitch. However off the pitch he was an absolute nightmare. I agree he's a bit of a flat track bully but that was because the best teams ciukd concentrate on marking him. Now with Walcott, Sigurdsson and Richarlison in the 3 behind the threat is so much more teame cant just set up to stop Lukaku defensively. We previously all 3 of them are upgrades on what went before. So basically I'm saying I like the player but not the human being. For £50 million I would have him vack but he would have to learn to keep his mouth shut.

Isn't worth 50m but even if United would cut there losses and get shut at that price I'm sure Brands can find much better then Rom for less.

If you think Brands can find better strikers for Rom than less than £50 million your living in dream land mate. There are no top level strikers out there that are not at CL clubs and the only ones like Belotti, Werner etc are touted at £80 million+ and are unproven in this league hence a big risk in terms of the outlay. Clubs like Chelsea are also after a striker so not that easy to attract the best ones.

If Moshiri bankrolls him to sign one great but if not we'll statistically more likely to sign another £25-30 million Tosun than a Suarez.

£50 million for Lukaku would be an absolute no brainer. People took Rooney back with open arms who crapped on the club far worse than Rom ever did.

Did he say that just after the Usyk fight?

Why do you want a player back who couldn't wait to get away from us? Who used every international break to try and engineer a move. Explain cos I really can't fathom it.
