Awful footballer whose reliance on athleticism and his teammates serving it on a plate for him was exposed badly.

Nothing to do with confidence. If he isn't scoring his input is zilch. You don't get away with that these days... £90m - unreal.
 


For all the knockers of the Fat Man, here's one of footballs Greatest Ever Thinkers talking about him:

'There is a negative way of assessing Romelu's performance for Manchester United, '

'When Rom scores everyone expects him to score and when he doesn't he is almost directly the reason United haven't won.

'But Rom is ready for that challenge. He will never hide away. He understands what is expected of him. For Belgium he has shown he's one of the best No 9s in the world and I don't understand why he's being treated in a manner which he doesn't deserve.'

I think we all know he can score. It's just the rest of his game that lets him down and whether those goals come against strong opposition when they need it the most. One chance, one goal etc. instead of putting some gloss on the scoreline.

Yesterday was a start I suppose, but do you think he can do that against Juve, Madrid or the RS? I have doubts.
 
That time off it appears he went to celebrity fit club.

Joking aside, no coincidence he took a few weeks off and all of a sudden looks leaner and trimmer, looks about the same size he was in his last season with us.

Expect him to start netting for United now after a couple of goals and a few pounds shed
