Was going to type something similar mate; although there is bound to be some kind of strange logic, in the minds of people who just dislike him, where scoring the first and second goal is negated by there being a third and fourth goal.
I like Lukaku, but he doesn't score when it matters. That's not opinion, that's fact. Without his goals in 2016-2017 season we would have finished.....ummm.... 7th.
Do you honestly think it works like that?
Heard two Mancs fans talking, they were saying they never thought Lakaku was that good, Bret Angel would have had a good game against West Ham.Too many people getting carried away. WHU were suicidal in how they left huge spaces for Rom to run into. If you let him play he will hurt you with goals. The 1st finish for me was a bit of a fluke as it could have hit the post and bounced out, but to his credit the second was well taken.
Overall I don't think he offered much besides the goals, Teams should sit back to deny him the space and get men around him. He seemed to make Lovren look like a world class player everytime we played them, I should hope Ron has at least learnt Lukaku's stengths and weaknesses.
I like Lukaku, but his strength is playing against lower level teams like West Ham. His record shows he doesn't show up when playing teams further up the table. It looks like some can't see past the dislike they have for Lukaku mate.
No, we would have had someone completely different in his position so it would have been a completely different outcome which is why I said 'without his goals'.Do you honestly think it works like that?
Ye ok mate. It's the fans fault that Lukaku (who made no secret about the fact that he wanted to leave from the day he joined us) left to be the main man at the club that has dominated the game for a most of Roms lifetime, that has one of the best managers in the game and a bottomless pit of cash. Just like it was the fans fault that Stones left us for silly money and yearly champions league football!Couldn't agree more!
I don't blame the likes of Stones and Lukaku for choosing to leave the abuse behind in order to join clubs that appreciate their talent.
Our support didn't used to be so rubbish; what happened?
