Ppl who say I woudnt have him bk, are on the glue, a center forward who bangs in goals Weekly He’s the difference in being higher up to, so we still need to replace him ( the goals )
It’s mad mate, I see why people criticise him because of his body language and supposed attitude, but the facts remain he scores goals for fun. A 20+ goal striker is £35m AT least, city have a few in Sterling, Aguero. The RS have 3 in Firminho, Salah & Sane.
We got £75m for him and spewed it up the wall. I can take that to a degree but not replacing a striker for three seasons now is absolutely criminal.
I'm not so sure he suits the Silva system
I rate Rom as a striker, but you have to play a certain way to get the best out of him. I don't think he'd be willing to put in the work a striker in a Marco Silva side needs to put in
He'd either have to excel in Silva's system or we'd have to rip everything up to accommodate him. I can't see him doing the former and can't see Silva wanting to do the latter
Yes, we want DCL to do better when he gets in those scoring positions, but it's only thanks to his incredible work rate that he's in those positions to begin with. Rom would have to match that work rate to be in those same scoring positions. It's a big gamble that he'd have the heart to do that. He wants to be a superstar in a Lukaku feeding machine. He wants to be fed, not to hunt
If Conte's willing to do that at Inter then it's a no brainer for Rom to go there
