Our current captain LOL'd at Lukaku when he said everton can get 4th.

This is Everton.

That goal doesn't count does it as they were already 3-0 up
@Tubey

I've never said that?

I've also never said he is anything other than an astonishing goalscorer. I've called him one of the best pure finishers in the world, regularly.

People keep tagging me about him, but United have had a very easy opening to the season - I'll be wrong, and admit I'm wrong, when Lukaku shows up consistently against the better sides.

Until then, Lukaku scored another goal against an average/poor side. This isn't news to me.

You don't get more points for scoring against big sides though do you?

You couldn't be more wrong if your name was wrongy wrongun from wrongtown

Just relieved he's not ours to endure anymore - scored a tap in, missed a sitter, got caught offside like a 12 year old, showed complete lack of intelligence in his movement.

He will probably get 15 goals for United - mainly against the cannon fodder teams. What we seen last night was his inability to perform against the better teams.

Never took to him - scored some good goals for us and really he should be a very good player - but he wont be. Within a year he will be finding himself cutting a frustrated figure on and off the bench.

I feel sorry for the fans who say "he's the best player I've seen in a blue shirt" - it means they've either been watching Everton for 4 years or have no real understanding about football.

He was awful last night, scored a sitter by miscuing it and did nowt else. Typical lukaku performance unfortunately.

Yes, he will score 25 goals a season and always will be a leading goalscorer. He will appear a success on paper.

I spoke to a few United fans this morning in work and they all said how similar his performance last night was to his FA Cup semi farce in 2016.
They are worried he is a flat track bully.
I just smiled.

The most bafflingly over rated player I have seen in a long long time.

People assume he's gonna be great because of his size and athleticism just like they did when Frank Bruno was boxing...

Technically very poor unless it's on his left foot and he's running onto a pass.

Mentally he plays like a spoilt brat who thinks he's untouchable....

The worst thing for United fans is that this is likely to be the most interested and motivated that they will see him. Like we did when he played against West ham when he took a knock to his head.

It will be fun to watch the fall out when he starts getting subbed.... something our managers needed to do more.

A inch to the left and that doesn't even go in. Very hit and hope imo, he's not a natural finisher. The rest of the game has been the usual flubber footed lunacy.

He's too much of a luxury and that will reveal itself as the season progresses.

An injury ravaged relegation contender at home....a hit and hope shot and an unmarked header from two yards out.

Rest of his game has been his static flubber footed self.

Proper strikers would have put it in the far corner. It's just what they do. Just instinctive. Big rom knows he's got power so just went for near post and hoped. Fair play he got the goal but it does reveal a lack of technique the truly great players have.

Sort of an assist there. If big rom hadn't lost it in the penalty area like a clumsy idiot then United would never have got that third.

Morata was very poor against Arsenal in his first big game.

But I would still call him one of the best strikers in the league. For years Ronaldo was mocked for his lack of goals in big games.

United drew 10 home games last season.its this supposed 'easy games' where Lukaku's goals are the most important.
