Romelu Lukaku

We miss Lukaku. His goals certainly. He also had 'presence'. A physical beast who, when it clicked (and it didn't always, arguably against the better teams / defenders in the league) terrified and bullied defenders. There was also the psychological side. Defenders were wary and watchful.

What I don't miss about Lukaku is his constant anchoring for a move. He seemed disdainful at times. That fed to the fans. It became a bit fraught as a relationship.

I suspect it's the above, that Lukaku flipped off what we consider to be greatest team, which means he's so disliked.

On a bad day he did have first touch issues though, didn't he?

Granted the team didn’t play to his strengths today but he was by and large anonymous for the whole game.
Mersin stated earlier on that most of Lukaku goals this season have been late on when the game was won and that he needed to step up.
He done nothing today to detract from those who call him a flat track bully.
I’d still have him back in a heartbeat as we played to his strengths
However on more than one occasion he has made it clear we were not good enough for him and he wanted to leave

Lukaku slated once more for not scoring against the big teams, whereas our forwards can’t score against anyone.
That's not in debate. Our players are crap (except DCL) Lukaku is brilliant against poor teams as he was for us, not once did he lead us to a victory V a top team in form.

Im just bitter and I hope he fails miserably at UTD and if he continues to play like he did today and for us against the better teams then UTD won't be winning the league or CL.

Not sure what our current strikers have to do with Lukaku.
