To be honest i think the two games (arsenal + United) just show the difference a bit of passion in the team can make.

Half time vs united i switched off. Yes i'll admit i stopped watching the game, still followed it through here but we stuck a film on for the kids instead. I just knew it wasn't getting better second half and i couldn't really be arsed watching it any further at that point.

Whereas the arsenal game i didn't want to watch. thought the worst of it and decided to see it anyway after kick off, because i'm a blue and it's like a drug. Just sitting there enjoying the game was mind blowing for me, i couldn't remember the last game i enjoyed a game! even united in the cup last year was a gut feeling of dread, but yeah, the arsenal game was the first time i enjoyed watching us probably since the europa league games tbh.

And as said at the time, my feelings would not have been different if we had lost the game, just pride in the players and enjoying seeing them fight was enough for me

We were playing terrible, off the run of 1 win in 9, it was sunday afternoon and you could see the game was not improving. Which to be fair it didn't until the last 10 minutes when the game was almost lost.
Considering it was off the back of swansea/burnley/Bournemouth/chelsea/norwich/palace to name a few...

You know we drew that game, right?

Well sorry to split hairs, but you just said you didnt watch the 2nd half, so how do you know we were lucky?

We destroyed them 2nd half.
not according to GOT we didn't, impression i got was that we played for the last 10 minutes.

And they had hit the woodwork about 15 minutes before that so if that was a second then game over.

We weren't great really but they were absolute muck, proper rotten, a draw was a fair result.
aye i got that impression from the first half. How bad they were at attacking with Ibra / Martial and Pogba actually suprised me, just messing about on the edge of the box.

United are utter aids, every single time I watch them. It's offensive how crap they are with the money they've spent, if we played like we did against Arsenal we'd have actually smashed them

Exactly the same here - I thought I'd lost my passion for football (and to be honest was quite ok with that - I want to ease off as I get older, get more responsibilities etc) but it all came flooding back during that game!

Sadly being a blue doesn't go away, never stop caring and despite expecting a trouncing and going one down on tuesday, just kept watching again haha

Granted it was a lot better this time round by half time, i just think relating to yourself that the past 2 years have removed some of that initial passion with us. You just want that spark and it has/had gone out the team. Martinez year 2 was some of the worst football i have ever seen, and i was in the stands for the walter smith era. I didn't even feel the same by the end of Moyes era here.

You just want to see the team have a fight about them. We could well be crap and lose most weeks but at least see them try, not roll over and i would still be passionate about the team. When you are 2 plus years into seeing the team not look like they care then it affects you a little bit, even if you still love the club.
