Ronald Koeman discussion

I've been extremely critical of koemans style of play this season whilst acknowledging he needs time however it dawned on me today & many in here have said this already but I couldn't see it.

He is perfect for the task in hand completely ignore this season it's a
Write off the summer transfer window saw to any small hope we had of doing anything + the way the top 6 have played it may have made no difference had we signed a few more as we are a long way behind.

Koeman has called out the Board and for the umpteenth time called out the players. I have disagreed with a lot of his decisions & criticisms of the players particularly his handling of the Barkley situation but we all need to open our eyes & realise this Is what is required to begin the move away from the sheer patheticness of the last 20 years.

Even if this time next year Koeman gets sacked he will have helped us immeasurably as the inertia that plaugues us will surely disapate after what he has said today.
Sorry I'd like to add I also think for the first time today I thought Ronald was here not just for his £6 million but because he want to win

Oh Ronny,
3 competitions to go for.
1 League cup... go out tamely to a bunch of turkey gobblers.
2. The Prem league........... Beaten by league 2 standard teams, Watford, Bournemouth, Burnley....... it was never on anyway
3. The only competition left, the F.A cup.Going out at the first hurdle, to a half arsed Leicester team.
You're out of your depth. This is a full-time job.
The bold bit is ridiculous. We weren't beaten by league two standard teams at all. Every team in the premiership has earned its place in this league and are therefore Premier League standard. I see this type of snobbery far to much these days. 'Oh it's only Watford, we should hammer them', we have absolutely no devine right to hammer anyone

The man needs time to sort this average squad out no other manger would do any better with this bunch we know they bottle it every big game that comes along i.e. Semi final derby Games let him assemble his own squad then see were we are needs backing of the board now

We get beat and this thread gets a hit blaming the manager. We win and you see all individual players threads at the top of the list. Judge him in 1 season when he has the crux of his own squad playing the style he wants. I would rather have a manager who is passionate and tells it how it is than a loser. Koeman is not a loser.

By watching us play.

He really doesn't have much of a track record and hasn't done anything special in his management career. Like I said, I'd be happy to be proven wrong but I wouldn't mind if he were sacked tomorrow. We're a club going places and we need a manager who reflects that, can't see Moshiri and Usmanov settling for mediocre.
So Southampton 6th and 7th is nothing? Will they get 6th or 7th or even top half this season?

Pochettino got Southampton 7th (with less points) and is simply a stunning manager and Koeman topped it.

This is what we're missing! @MoutsGoat

We looked League 2 standard against Chelsea.
