Ronald Koeman discussion

It's a collective responsibility not just the board. Every Tom, Dick and Harry knew we needed a no.1 goalkeeper in the summer and we didn't get one. We desperately needed cover or support for rom and ended up with Valencia.
Koeman has admitted mistakes were made in the summer, obviously he doesn't want those mistakes replicated this window, hence his comments today.

That "Koeman rant at the board"...read i again, it sounds like it's more a pop at Steve Walsh to me.

"I have that in mind and the board knows because we speak together about what we and the team needs and that is the job of [director of football] Steve Walsh."

He's basically having a pop at the DoF. So much for Koeman gets tough with the board.

A mate of mine is a regular in the Joe Mercer Suite and he said that both Ronald and Erwin had a coffee in there with two women after the match. He said that both men just sat there in complete silence, looking completely stunned and grief-stricken. As if they had just lost a loved one. Ronald left before Erwin and as he exited he tearfully embraced a random Blue and apologised for the performance.

Contrary to popular belief, Koeman does care.

Never going to happen in January. We'll probably ship three, get one in, and a loan. No evidence that Moshiri's reign has changed the way we spend on players.
I'm beginning to fear we've had our token big signing in Bolasie, we might get Snides and possibly someone like Fonte but I think that might be our lot.

But our season has ended early for the last 21 years prior to today. What month it happens doesn't really matter. I'm sure he does look in the mirror and wonders what he can do differently. The fact he is trying to move us away from that God forsaken 4231 proves that. I'm not a massive fan of him either, but he deserves to be judged when he has more of the personnel he wants playing the style he wants. This squad is full of passengers. And to be fair mate, when you have had the career he has had, there is bound to be an ego. He wants players to be at the level he was. None of this squad look like they want to do that.
It most definitely does.

In fairness mate, Walsh is the boards man in charge of transfers.
Whatever we think of the board or Koeman this is an attack of them.

Seems odd timing to me. He should have been furious after August. However kicking off a week into January having signed someone for 11 million when we are close to signing Schneiderlin seems a bit odd?

Definitely. This side is a proven gang of spineless, gutless, bottlers. We need a massive clear out and only then will I judge Koeman. I reckon you can safely bet it's the old guard holding us back, set in their ways and can't be bothered to put the hard work in. Thing is I don't know if he'll hang around that long... we need so many players in and out its unreal.
Who is the "old guard"? Baines? Coleman? Jags? Barry? Kev? In other words, where does the rot stop?
