Ronald Koeman discussion

In fairness mate, Walsh is the boards man in charge of transfers.
Whatever we think of the board or Koeman this is an attack of them.

Seems odd timing to me. He should have been furious after August. However kicking off a week into January having signed someone for 11 million when we are close to signing Schneiderlin seems a bit odd?
Why specifically mention Walsh?

It sounds like the target was the board but he didn't have the balls to directly attack them so went for Walsh instead.

To be fair to him it was the players who completely collapsed. Not a koeman tactical change or anything, the players just decided they'd [Poor language removed] themselves and throw the game away.

Don't know about that mate. When we're on top he takes off Valencia who was causing them problems and doing okay up top with Lukaku, he brings on Mirallas (I know we scored after Valencia went off) puts him out wide, this then once again isolates Lukaku, and we just lost all shape after that. Not totally blaming it all on that change Koeman made by the way, but he has to carry some of the can.

Record start to the season. Sorry those players did that. Why hasn't Koeman been able to get it it of them since?

4 wins in the last 17 games stretching back to mid-September. That is appalling from a new manager who was supposed to be a massive upgrade.

he's been found out. Simple as that.

Because we had the easiest start to a season I can remember for a long time. I have never ever said he would carry that on, in fact I thought much the opposite and thought it would be hard to maintain such form. I didn't think we'd be as poor as we are, but still not as poor as martinez season 3.

You've made your judgement on RK mate, nobody will change that and thats fair enough. I think he needs to rid the squad of the deadwood of the Moyes and Martinez eras before he can be judged properly.

...we needed a new keeper 2 years ago mate, at this very time if memory serves, our good old ex manager gave an interview JAN 15 citing as much...he then went on to show absolutely zero interest in signing a new goalkeeper and instead went mad-bonkers in backing Timothy at every opportunity.

And then in MAY 15 stated he had neither need nor interest in signing a keeper.

Madness.
Can blame Martinez for a lot of things but not the summer transfer window. Funds were made available, RK admitted he wanted 3 keepers and we ended up with 2 number 2 keepers. The failure or lack of interest in an available joe hart was staggering.

He identified the glaring lack of quality in the squad and told us as much. The players who then decided to stop trying as they knew he'd found them out are the cause of the downturn. He's basically told them they're shît and their performances since have merely confirmed his suspicions.

Because hope springs eternal.

We live on hopes, it's our oxygen. Take that away from fans in January and reap the whirlwind. there are a lot of angry people about today who wont accept Koeman's BS.

Well I pity them, as I'm sure many of them lapped up the absolute man yogurt spouted by Bill over the years and martinez more recently.

Id be concerned if we were near the relegation zone. But were not.
Were consistently in games and competing.
Ridiculous statement.
Ok, can't wait here. What's the 'ridiculous' part about this statement? Koeman's job is to get the best out of his squad. So you're saying he is? He's supposed to be a CLEAR improvement on every manager we've had since Royle(and even with that they really overachieved). What about his tenure are you saying he is getting the best out of these players?

He tells Walsh who he would like. Walsh then does the business side of things. This is where Koeman sees failings. That is why he called out Walsh.

He can change that if he gets his head down and stops whingeing and gets this lot playing and winning. I backed Koeman to become our new manager. I want to believe but all I see is disappointment with his play and his attitude. He's just an excuse maker mate.
