Ronald Koeman discussion

We were completely inept in the Chelsea game so not sure that is entirely fair.
I am trying to be patient, but the sheer inconsistency and lack of identity is worrying. Can't go on a run and hard to discern what he's trying to drill into the team. The thing that impressed me about Southampton was how the team played as a team and a very clear game plan. Don't see that with this team. He seems to be tinkering and not to know his best 11 or where they should play. I think he deserves time and windows to figure some of this out but I wish the early signs of progress hadn't completely evaporated.

He identified the glaring lack of quality in the squad and told us as much. The players who then decided to stop trying as they knew he'd found them out are the cause of the downturn. He's basically told them they're shît and their performances since have merely confirmed his suspicions.
Great man management skills.

Coaches are supposed to come in and coach players and adapt them...it isn't about replacing them all at a club like this!

FFS, did he think it was? More fool him then.

Why specifically mention Walsh?

It sounds like the target was the board but he didn't have the balls to directly attack them so went for Walsh instead.

Because Walsh is the DoF he's the transfer man.

Koeman gives his requirements, Walsh finds the players, tells Koeman who's available, then starts negotiations, advises the board of what they'd cost and what not to pay and what is fair price.

Everton have always been slow as anything at getting deals done, unless it's transfer deadline day. If Schneiderlin fits Koeman's requirements and is available at £24m, Moshiri can provide the money, but Walsh is telling them that's too much and to go at £19m then of course Koeman is going to be pissed at him. And annoyed with the board that they're not getting the players he require to improve the squad.

Lookman to me seems like a Walsh signing, Schneiderlin is a Koeman signing, he's worked with him before he knows what he'll bring to the team.

He can change that if he gets his head down and stops whingeing and gets this lot playing and winning. I backed Koeman to become our new manager. I want to believe but all I see is disappointment with his play and his attitude. He's just an excuse maker mate.

Only time will tell mate! I hope, as I'm sure you do, that this is just a transitional season and next season will be far better.

Pretty much mate. None of them players are indispensable. No room for sentiment in football and with the exception of Coleman I honestly wouldn't be bothered if we got rid of all of the above.
That's A LOT of rebuilding. We are in a real hole and Yannick Bolasie isn't the answer.

Record start to the season. Sorry those players did that. Why hasn't Koeman been able to get it it of them since?

4 wins in the last 17 games stretching back to mid-September. That is appalling from a new manager who was supposed to be a massive upgrade.

he's been found out. Simple as that.

He's been found out hahahaha thats a good one. I didnt hear that one before.

Can blame Martinez for a lot of things but not the summer transfer window. Funds were made available, RK admitted he wanted 3 keepers and we ended up with 2 number 2 keepers. The failure or lack of interest in an available joe hart was staggering.
I'll be blatantly honest here, I never wanted Joe Hart. But that's because I was sure ANOTHER keeper would be coming in instead and I thought he was overrated considerably. Completely clear upgrade on what we have for sure.

The fact NOBODY came in still gives me strokes to this day.

Pathetic because he's come out with it after a defeat, because he made it public at all and a few weeks after he said he had a great working relationship with the guy. In my opinion he's a master at blaming everybody else and I don't think a good manager does that.
