Ronald Koeman discussion

Fair enough but when he said it I think he/we meant earning it and controlling our faith by winning a cup or our position in the league. We weren't thinking 7th and 9 points off the next place. Look, I want him to turn it around, but let's not pretend we're happy with what we've got so far. Then we are true losers.

It would be easy to make the same argument for all three of Martinez's seasons. Trying to make good on CL promise. Season 1 via the league...season 2 via Europe...Season 3 via FA Cup.

Lame excuse IMO. I have taken over underperforming teams many times in my career. Rule #1 has always been it's either gonna be them or me who gets canned and it damn sure ain't gonna be me.
Its all well and good to say that but he cant sit or freeze out the whole squad. Like you said, its going to be them or you who gets canned, the issue right now is until we get new players in, the current ones cant be canned. Im not a massive fan of Koeman but after Martinez tenure and the start of Koemans its clear some of these players just arent going to cut it. Koeman isnt blameless, however if the players arent arsed for two years I think they have to take some responsibility

How on earth is anyone on this day of all days offering words of support for that feller? HE'S JUST ENDED OUR SEASON IN THE FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY...then he threw a load of flack up in the air to distract from that massive personal failure.

He does not take responsibility. He's blaming the DoF now. How can a man like that be trusted?

The whole tone of the club is downbeat and he is like a dark cloud hanging over it with his surliness and general lack of class. He is not an Everton manager. Never in a million years will he be considered one. He has a mountain to climb now.

Koeman has not "ended our season" mate - this crop of utter jokers have (And even then we still have a Europa League spot to go after). Koeman being on the touchline shouldn't mean our players can't pass the ball quickly and forwards without giving it away, not be fit enough to play 90 minutes of football, and just be lazy arseholes all throughout games. I highly doubt Koeman even wants them to be playing hoofball (It didn't happen when Southampton went on their great run) but that's all we can do with players of this ability. It's not surprising he wants new ones in.

I'll admit he could have done better with the team selection and subs today, but that's still absolutely no excuse for why we lost. That Leicester side is Championship quality ffs.

It's quite clear he wants new players in but the board are severely letting him down - they did in the summer and it's happening again now and everyone knows it. We all know we need about 5 more new players in and as manager he has every right to complain about our incompetent board letting him down with dealings. Putting pressure on them publicly seems like a good idea in my book.

They're a disgrace. And the feller in the dugout complaining that they sat off Leicester is too.

I sense things are going to blow quite soon over Koeman, regardless of how long he's been here. The feller needs to reflect on his performance as a coach and a leader. He's shown nothing in either respect so far and Evertonians won't put up with a cry arse for too long.
Bournemouth got knocked out today they made 11 changes though we never blood a few younger players do We? Leicester made five Changes never looked interested till we scored evidently!

We started the game with an 18 year old, a 20 year old and 2 23 year olds and he brought a 23 year old on as a sub.

Baffling comment, even from you Joey.

I'm starting to think were we really interested in progressing today? Did Moshiris comments at the AGM about the FA Cup not being a priority have any bearing on the whole attitude of the staff? There was certainly an air of apathy around the ground today even before things turned sour on the pitch.
