Never in a million years would any manager on that wedge walk away from a compensation package.
But that squad is pyar gash and needs overhauling massively.
Quite simple, the squad at our disposal is 1000 times better than Brett Angell, bakayoko, Gareth farrelly, Danny Williamson, David ginola, gazza.....we've moved on as a club and we have a very strong team. That's a fact
So we where beaten by Norwich and Leicester because we didn't buy enough new players?
that about right
It is funny though Chris, you must admit! lolDo one chico
The Everton managers job could easily become one that off puts the best managers, if we don't give the chance to whoever is in charge before making a decision. If they aren't given the resources to compete with the 6 stand out teams in the league, managers won't want to come to us to improve their CV.

I'm sure I'll get done at some point. We must repent mate.
lollolI was going to argue back and thought, balls he's got me banged to rights
From a guy who i think is ITK
However, my view isn't in agreement with Ronald - I don't agree we need to replace the majority of the team nor do I believe it is possible, either. FFP restrictions see to that, restrictions that RK has been made well aware of, so it puzzles me why he has been so vocal in his distrust of the squad he has inherited. A squad, whether he likes it or not, is full of proven international - most over 25 caps for their country.
Of course, it's an ageing squad, and some of those need replacing in time, but altogether? Of course, this view of yours is clouded further by Rk's decision to give Barry & Baines contract extensions.. What is it RK is actually saying to us last night? He wants to complete an overhaul of the team but not Barry & Baines?
He has told 8 players they can go - I don't disagree with the 8, we simply need better, but they're on decent contracts and unlikely to shift 50% of them this window; also, he doesn't believe the youngsters ready to take the place of the 8 he has informed are not good enough. Of the 8, only Kone is over 30. That suggests to me,along with the extensions, it's not the ageing squad uppermost in his mind to replace.
He hates the lack of fight in our wingers plus the lack of creativity from them. So why do we continue to play a system where he has to play them?? He has publicly told Niasse to play football elsewhere . Ovideo Lennon Cleverley & Gibson have had conversations where they can leave this window - all will be late outgoings on loan at best. McCarthy and Geri want out because they feel they're bit part players and want to try their luck elsewhere. Mirallas, Joel, Ross & Jags are aware he'd accept any sort of bid for them - Mori wants away and we're happy to accommodate. This group of players last season reached two semi - finals and despite being in really poor form in the league took 4 points from RK's over-performing Southampton side. Are they really as bad as he alludes -
So, as you said, I didn't want him in the summer and blamed pre-conceived ideas for my worries about RK. I was hoping to be proven wrong. Two cup ties, both at home against Norwich and Leicester didn't fill us with fear when they were drawn - yet we find ourselves dumped out when each game was their for the taking; 5-0 drubbing against Chelsea - they haven't done that since to anyone. Jags and James - both great lads, great pro's and proven internationals. The were both unhappy in August - that bothered me - if you can't get those two on board as a manager?! And when you find out there are 7 clubs in the prem inquiring to take them?
It's a long job and a difficult one but his actions remind me of Souness with the bin bags and imho it didn't need to be so drastic. Fitness questioned against Spurs and 10 days later he informed we now fit. The kids not ready and then he played three more than once in a week but most of all you countered by saying we were now more difficult to beat, well with fitness assured we have been beaten 3 times at home, once in a derby and first time in the cups.

And again somebody is overrating that cup run. And to prove his point by saying we got 4 points against southampton is really funny. Did he forget all the other games last year?? We almost didnt won a league game after Christmas last year.....
